Primary Science Mix & Measure Set by Learning Resources

Primary Science Mix & Measure Set by Learning Resources Today I would like to introduce you to the company called Learning Resources who makes a wide variety of educational toys and games for children. When you visit the Learning Resources web site…you can shop as a Parent or as a Teacher. Furthermore, you can shop by age group, category, by brand or by subject. I love how user-friendly the Learning Resources site is!

You will find activity sets & books, construction sets, active learning & play sets, discovery & exploration sets, electronic toys, games, puzzles, water & sand toys and a whole lot more! Everything on their site is extremely well-made and affordable.

My Review: The great folks over at Learning Resources sent us the Primary Science Mix & Measure Set to review for all of you. This wonderful 12-piece play set comes complete with activity cards and is made for ages 4 and up.

Set Includes: 3 measuring spoons, 4 measuring cups, 2 liquid measuring cups, bowl with lid, scale and 10 activity cards. Everything stores nicely inside the cardboard storage box.

Some of the activities that you can do with your child that are on the activity cards includes: Making slime stencils, homemade trail mix, three-day modeling clay, homemade puffy paint, homemade blowing bubbles and homemade mystery goo.

My grand-wee-one loves to be in the kitchen with me and this set is just perfect for us. We decided to use the set to make some homemade trail mix so we followed the instructions on the Trail Mix activity card. The wee one is only 2 1/2 years old so I had to do most of the measuring but she did all of the “dumping” and “mixing” of the ingredients. As we used different items in the kit she would tell me what color they were and I was teaching her the names of each individual item. We really had a good time using this set!

When your kids are not busy using the set for the activities as explained on the activity cards they can certainly use it in their “play kitchens” like she does and it is equally as fun using it that way too! Everything is made of high-quality, durable plastic so there is nothing for them to get hurt with. We love this new set from Learning Resources and we think you would love it too!
