My family has been getting together for the past 20 years on a regular basis for family game days. During the warmer months of the year we do outdoor games like cornhole, ring toss, bocce ball, badminton, mini golf, and more. During the colder months of the year we get together for card and board games. It’s something we all look forward to doing!

Cornhole Shootout is the perfect game for all of your family get-togethers. It’s a game that is played outdoors but could be played indoors in a larger area. This game combines the fun of basketball and cornhole into one game. It’s for ages 6 and up and for 2 or more players.

Instructions
Let’s start with the instructions. You’ll need to assemble the Shootout Boards which are really easy to assemble and takes less than 5 minutes. Nothing complicated about it. Step-by-Step written and diagram instructions. On the instruction sheet you’ll find the Game Rules and the Scoring. Again, very simple to understand.
For this game…it’s a combination of basketball and cornhole. Players (or teams) take turns tossing the beanbags into the opposite net. After each round players/teams switch sides and toss in the opposite direction. The object of the game is to be the first person (or team) to reach a score of 21 points.
This game is perfect to play anywhere! Think your backyard, family reunions, tailgating parties, camping, on the beach, summer day camp for older kids, at birthday parties, senior centers, etc. Men, Women and kids would all enjoy it!

The Briarpatch Scholastic I Spy Flip & Find Travel Card Game is for ages 4 and up, 2 to 4 players. The game comes with a travel storage tin case, 62 I SPY Cards, Match Pad and an instructions sheet. Object of the Game: Flip the cards to find a pair, shout “Match” out loud into the air. Players take turns finding the matched pairs until all of them are found. The player who found the most…is the winner! The game is designed for fast-paced action to help kids with their memory skills, hand-to-eye coordination, visual perception, fine motor skills, socializing with others, good gamemanship, etc.
My 2 kids (ages 8 and 15) sat down with my 2 nephews (ages 4 and 7) to play the game. The 15 year old read off the instructions to the kids and explained to them how to play the game along with the rules. Once they had a little practice run…they got busy playing the game. The 4 year old needed assistance from time to time but the 7, 8 and 15 year olds needed no adult or older child assistance at all.
The game’s concept is simple…find 2 matching items on the cards and claim the point. What’s really nice about the game is that it’s fast-paced. It took the kids 10-18 minutes to play each game…so it’s not one of those games that takes an hour or two that totally loses a child’s attention. This game definitely kept the kids focused on the task at hand. They enjoyed themselves with a lot of laughing and teasing one another.
