Strawberry, Blueberry and Raspberry Fruit Smoothie Recipe

Strawberry, Blueberry and Raspberry Fruit Smoothie Recipe

Strawberry, Blueberry and Raspberry Fruit Smoothie RecipeI love berries…all kinds of different berries! Strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, mulberries, raspberries, cranberries, etc. You name it, I love it. For this recipe I used a combination of strawberries, blueberries and raspberries because that’s what I had on hand. You can use any combination of berries that you would like. My husband prefers his made with strawberries, raspberries and blackberries. My 15 year old granddaughter likes a 1/2 banana tossed into hers. This recipe is versatile!

If you want to bump up the nutritional content substitute Manuka Honey for the regular honey called for in the recipe. If you don’t have any honey, you can certainly substitute with 1-2 teaspoons of granulated sugar as the sweetener. This mixed berries smoothie is easy-to-make and tastes delicious!

1/4 cup frozen strawberries
1/4 cup frozen blueberries
1/4 cup frozen red raspberries
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
1 teaspoon honey
2 ice cubes

Place all of the ingredients into a blender container. Blend until it’s the desired consistency that you prefer. Serve immediately.

If you like a creamier fruit smoothie with more liquid…increase the milk. I like to chill my glasses in the freezer for 30 minutes before preparing the recipe.

Easy Homemade Pizza Dough Recipe with Freezing Tips

Easy Homemade Pizza Dough Recipe with Freezing Tips

Easy Homemade Pizza Dough Recipe with Freezing TipsWe make a homemade pizza 2-3 times every month. It makes for a quick weeknight dinner when I’m pressed for time. I prep all of my ingredients ahead of time so that I just have to toss things together and bake. For example…measure out your cheeses and toppings into small storage containers. Store in the refrigerator until you need them. You can pre-make the pizza dough and store it for up to 3 days in the refrigerator or for up to 3 months in the freezer.

When storing pizza dough in the refrigerator you want to roll it into a ball. Lightly coat the outside of the ball with a little bit of olive oil. Place into a container with a lid. If you want to freeze the dough…same thing although I prefer placing it into a freezer safe bag (air purged out). Just thaw it overnight in the refrigerator before use.

Homemade Pizza Dough Recipe

1 cup warm water
1 pkg. active dry yeast
1 tsp. granulated sugar
2 1/2 cups bread flour
2 tbsp. olive oil
1 tsp. salt

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Lightly spray the pizza pan with non-stick baking spray or spray with a little bit of olive oil.

In a mixing bowl combine together the warm water, active dry yeast and the granulated sugar. Mix together with a spoon and then let it sit for 20 minutes. Add-in the flour, olive oil and salt. Beat until smooth. I like to use my stand mixer using the dough hook attachment. Dough should be in a ball. Let it sit in the bowl on your kitchen counter for 10-12 minutes. You want it to rest and become room temperature.

Place the dough ball onto your dough board or a lightly floured surface. Roll out until it measures approximately 12″ in diameter. Transfer to your prepared pizza pan.

Now the fun part…add the pizza sauce and your desired toppings! The more goodies you add…the longer it will take to bake, so keep that in mind as you’re building the perfect pizza. Place in a preheated 400 degrees F oven and bake for 10-15 minutes or until the crust is lightly golden brown and all of the cheese has melted. Remove and let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
