As with all recipes, feel free to adjust the sugar and acid balanced after you taste. While it shouldn’t be needed, don’t be shy about personalizing your cocktail. I’d recommend only adjusting by one 1/8 oz barspoon of syrup or juice at a time after tasting the base recipe.

Easy Slow Cooker Pulled Pork Recipe

Easy Slow Cooker Pulled Pork Recipe

Pulled pork is one of those easy slow cooker recipes that my entire family enjoys. We like to make pulled pork sandwiches (served in a toasted bun or in a wrap), served over-the-top of a baked potato, served on top of mashed potatoes or used as a burrito filling. You can use it all kinds of different ways. I like to toss everything into my slow cooker on a Monday morning before heading into work. Once I get home…dinner is done. The leftovers can be used for the next few days too!

Easy Slow Cooker Pulled Pork Recipe

Before I get to the recipe I want to introduce you to Selefina, the spice shop through Adagio Teas. Selefina sells your classic spices like parsley and oregano…along with chili powder, crystallized ginger root, Cacao nibs, and everything in between. You can purchase samples sizes, regular sizes, refills, and empty spice jars if you need those! High quality, fresh spices and seasonings shipped straight to your door.

For this recipe I used the Selefina Parsley Flakes and the Selefina Premium Garlic Powder. Both of these are high-quality spices that really add a nice flavor to the recipe.

Easy Slow Cooker Pulled Pork Recipe

Medium Sized Pork Roast
1 Full Bottle of Honey Barbecue Sauce
1/4 cup Brown Sugar
1/2 tsp. Selefina Premium Garlic Powder
1 tsp. Selefina Parsley Flakes
1 tsp. Season Salt
1/2 tsp. Ground Black Pepper
2 Squirts Dijon Mustard
Water

Place the pork roast into the slow cooker. Add just enough water to cover it Add all of the ingredients EXCEPT for the bottle of barbecue sauce. Stir gently to make sure everything is combined. Cover. Cook on high for 4 hours or on the low setting for 6-8 hours.

Once I get home I sometimes need to ladel out some of the water if it hasn’t cooked down enough. Once I get the juice aka water level correct…I pour in the entire bottle of honey barbecue sauce. Use a large fork if needed to break up all of the chunks of the pork. Cover. Cook on the high setting 1 hour. Then serve.
