How often do you go through your closets and dresser drawers cleaning out things? I like to do it 2-3 times a year. I will go through all of my clothing, accessories and shoes…get rid of what doesn’t fit, looks too worn or items that I just don’t wear anymore. If they’re in decent condition, I’ll donate those items to a local church or charity.

I have two children so I have to clean out their things more frequently because they’re still growing. Kids are a lot harder on clothing too! I clean out their closets and dresser drawers 4 times a year…as the seasons change.

How often do you go through the closets and drawers? Do you just give items away, donate to charity or dispose of in the trash? How do you dwindle things down?

The past 2 weeks I’ve had more free time than what I normally do and I’ve been taking advantage of it. There’s some home organization and cleaning projects that I’ve been wanting to get done and finally I’m tackling them with the help from the family. My kids are always HELPFUL when I mention allowance increase LOL Do you give your kids an allowance? I do…I find that they’re more apt to help me to get things done with it! Plus, it teaches them about work ethics and the rewards that come from working.
