Does Your Dog Watch Dog TV?

Does Your Dog Watch Dog TV?

Good morning everyone! Oh my gosh…Summer is just flying by! It’s now August 1st and a lot of kids are heading back to school this month!!! For me…my Summer is just beginning! We have a vacation trip planned for every month through November so I am pretty happy about that!!!

I was watching the news this morning and saw a segment about the new Dog TV channel that people can pay $4.99 a month to subscribe. This channel is not for dog owners it’s for the dogs to watch! OMG! So now dog owners can pay for this channel & turn it on for their pooches to watch. Personally, I wouldn’t pay that! If my dog needed to watch TV while I wasn’t home he would get a few continuous running DVDs or something. How many of you would pay extra every month for a channel for your dog’s to watch?

We had a few giveaways close late last night so we do have winners to announce this morning. As always, we spend time every morning validating entries, trashing out the cheater entries and then randomly select a winner using random.org. We then double check that persons entry to make sure it’s legit and then finalize it.

Winner for the Swiffer Prize Pack is… Sherrie C.
Winner for the Nursing Clutch is… Carrie P.

Congratulations winners! I will be sending both of you emails shortly so that you can claim your prizes. Have a great Thursday everyone!

The Spoiled Dog

I think my dog is the most spoiled baby around. He acts like he gets no attention at all! While he is not rude or obnoxious to visitors, he does have to make sure he gets some attention. The other day our friends son was

Dear Neighbors – Please Keep Your Dogs in Your Own Yard!

Dear Neighbors – Please Keep Your Dogs in Your Own Yard!

I wanted to give you all an update regarding my neighbors & the dog crap (poop) situation that I blogged about last week. After getting FIRMER with our verbal language to them regarding the dogs coming over and crapping in our yard daily, they are

The Neighbors Continue to Let Their Dogs Poop in Our Yard!!!

The Neighbors Continue to Let Their Dogs Poop in Our Yard!!!

Oh my…our neighbors are so disrespectful and today I’m going to tell you why! Here’s the story.

We moved into our house back on Jan. 4th and before we even moved in we talked to our neighbors about their 3 big labs (dogs) coming over and crapping in our yard. We don’t have dogs and felt that their dogs should stay in their yard and do their business over there. Well….their dogs are still making daily (sometimes twice daily) trips into our yard and taking their craps!

Since we have moved in here…we have talked to them at least 10 times about the dogs crapping in our yard and have been FIRM about them not letting their dogs over here to do that. On Saturday we walked around our yard and documented over 60+ piles of dog crap and I took photos of 5 piles of it for documentation. Hubby then mowed the grass and our lawn looked nice again.

Well…since Sunday…they dogs have been over numerous times and have taken their craps in our yard. As of last night, 14 new piles of dog crap are in our back yard! OH MY GOSH….I am freaking furious about this!!!

We have talked to them repeatedly about it and get excuses each and every time. This is so dang disrespectful and we have avoided calling the police as we didn’t want to cause hard feelings & neighbor problems but now…we are FED UP!

Do any of you have any suggestions for us on how to get this issue to stop? How can we get them to take this problem seriously?

My Lazy and Beautiful Cat

I live in a house where the animals really rule the household. If you are a animal lover, then I am sure you know what I mean! My cat, Toby, is one of the lazy ones. He loves to go outside an explore for hours

Please Take Care of Your Pets During Cold Winter Weather

We’re expecting some brutally cold winter weather over the next week or two and I wanted to post a friendly reminder to pet owners. If you have a dog or cat that goes outside you need to protect them from the cold. A dog and/or
