Pawstruck.com for All-Natural, Premium Dog Chews and Treats

There’s nothing that makes me smile more than my two rescue dogs—Colby and Winston. I’m a passionate (slightly obsessed) dog mom and am incredibly picky about the types of treats and chews I give to these furry fellows. I was recently introduced to Pawstruck.com, which

Grandma Lucy’s Moxie Freeze-Dried Cat Food

Grandma Lucy’s Moxie Freeze-Dried Cat Food

Grandma Lucy's Moxie Freeze-Dried Cat FoodMy 1 1/2 year old cat, Romeo is a finicky eater and eats primarily dry food. He will occasionally enjoy wet food or a wet lick-able treat but prefers dried food. He has a “weird” habit of always taking a few seconds to “sniff” his food before he sits to eat it. If it smells funny or has an odor he doesn’t like, he’ll walk away. Yeah, he’s finicky!

A few weeks ago I introduced you to the freeze-dried dog and cat treats from Grandma Lucy’s and today I’m going to introduce you to the Moxie Freeze-Dried Cat Food.

One of the reasons we love Grandma Lucy’s pet food and treats is because all of it contains the highest quality ingredients from trusted suppliers and farms. You won’t find any “feed-grade” or “animal grade” ingredients, “inedible” ingredients, by-products, meals preservatives, added hormones or antibiotics in any of their pet food or treats.

For the review we received a 8oz. bag of Grandma Lucy’s Moxie Freeze-Dried Cat Food in the Turkey Recipe which contains 93% turkey and organs. It’s high in protein, minimally processed, and contains no grains. You can feed it to your cat dry or add water to rehydrate it. That will depend on how your kitty likes his/her food!

Ingredients: turkey, turkey liver, turkey gizzards, sunflower seeds, squash, pumpkin, coconut, beets, apples, blueberries, kale, turmeric, calcium carbonate, and taurine.

Grandma Lucy’s MOXIE Turkey Recipe is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO Cat Food Nutrient Profiles for All Life Stages. Proudly made in the U.S.A.

Grandma Lucy's Moxie Freeze-Dried Cat Food

You can use Moxie as a meal mixer (by mixing it in to your cat’s food wet or dry) or use it as a complete and balanced meal. Since our boy is a finicky eater we’ve been using it as a meal mixer. Romeo likes it dry but he prefers it a lot more when we add the water to it (instructions are printed on the bag) and then stir it in with his dry food.

The first time I put it down for him he walked around his dish and “sniffed” for about a minute and then he dug right in. When he was done I could tell that his belly was full and he was quite satisfied with his meal. He licked his mouth and proudly walked away from his food dish with his tail in the air. We call it his “proud boy” walk.

We’ve been using it as a mealtime mix-in for the past two weeks and our boy loves it! He looks forward to mealtime and will run to his dish when he sees me grabbing the Moxie bag.

The cat food comes with all of the feeding instructions printed on the back of the bag, so there’s no guessing on what you should do. A scoop is included for measuring. It’s packaged in a resealable bag for easy storage and/or if you’re traveling. We like to take our boy with us when we travel.

Head on over to Grandma Lucy’s to check out all of the wonderful pet food and pet treats that they have to offer. Use the store locator on their website to find a location near you or purchase online.

Our Cat Romeo LOVES All-Natural Meowijuana Catnip

Our Cat Romeo LOVES All-Natural Meowijuana Catnip

Like the majority of cats our boy Romeo loves catnip! However, he’s finicky about the type of catnip that he’ll snack on. It has to have a strong aroma without a lot of stem pieces within it. We don’t give it to him every day,

5 Tips for Buying the Perfect Pet Stroller

5 Tips for Buying the Perfect Pet Stroller

5 Tips for Buying the Perfect Pet StrollerWe spent a lot of time outdoors and enjoy taking our cat Romeo along with us. At first he wasn’t fond of getting into a pet stroller and riding around in it. We had to work with him over the course of 2 weeks before he willingly got into it and now loves it.

When it comes to buying the perfect pet stroller you need to consider these 5 things before purchasing it.

1. What kind of pet will be riding in it? A dog or a cat? What size and weight is your pet? You’ll want to select a stroller that is large and sturdy enough for your furry friend. Take your pet’s measurements and measure the stroller that you’re considering. They should be able to comfortably lay down and turn around in it.

2. Where will you be using it? You’ll need to consider the wheels if you plan on using it on rough terrain, sidewalks, sand, grassy fields, etc. Make sure that the wheels can handle the terrain that you’ll be using it on.

3. Entry and exit points. The stroller should have more than one way for your pet to get in and out of it. The one that we use has a front and top entry & exit. This allows for Romeo to get in and out himself and for us to reach-in and get him.

4. The handle bar. Make sure the handle is at a comfortable height for you to push it around. Some have adjustable handles (we prefer them) since I’m 5″ shorter than my husband. I don’t want a backache after taking our little guy out for a walk.

5. Storage. We like to spend a lot of time outdoors on long walks in the park or down the boardwalk. We tend to take things along with us like bottled water (for us and Romeo), pet treats, snacks, his leash & harness (in case we get him out), etc. Storage is something to consider if you want to be hands-free and only pushing the stroller.

How do you get your furry friend used to riding in a pet stroller? With practice! We parked our stroller in our family room for a week and opened it up. Romeo was allowed to crawl in and out of it as he pleased. When he willingly got into the stroller with a command he got a reward (a treat) and so forth. After 2 weeks of practicing with him he was ready to roll. He now loves to go outside on walks with us and we take him out as often as we can. That’s Romeo in the photo above enjoying his walk last week.

Natural Seeds Including Hemp Seed Oil For Dogs’ Healthy Diet

Most humans choose to employ clean eating as their dietary preference incorporating natural options into their plan such as seeds. Some pet parents don’t realize this can carry over into a viable concept for their furry companion’s nutritional health also. Many of the same varieties
