The dog may be ‘man’s best friend’, but to woman, a dog can be her other CHILD! We love spoiling our dogs and I think they know it! Just the other day, I took Louie to the vet for his check-up. Being there, several people noticed and complimented his awesome new collar that I received for review from Dog IDs! Louie was definitely a proud pup not only because he looked so handsome, but because he lost weight too!
Although Dog IDs is a small, family-owned company, they are doing some big things for [Wo]Men’s Best Friend! They have an enormous selection of dog collars that range from nylon to leather, with tags or engraved plates, and even embroidered personalization. There are many different types of collar design styles and colors; some collars can even come with the safety reflective on it or a matching leash. You can get the lovely engraved dog tags, or have your name and number engraved on the metal plate of the collar. So many choices!!
The collar that Louie got to review is a nice Personalized Designer Nylon Ribbon Collar in brown with baby blue stripe. This collar is very well made and adjustable by 6″ so you can really get the right size for your pet. I love the engraving on the clasp. The collar is not only stylish, but useful too with his name and our telephone number printed on it in case he ever got lost, which is fantastic since he has the tendency to run after the neighborhood kitties sometimes….. oops. 🙂 The engraving is crisp and clean and looks great too. I do prefer the engraving since I do not like the jingling of the tags or the possibility of the tags falling off so I am more confident that Lou will be safer should he ever get lost.

Our cat has 4 pet beds in various places around our home. Naturally kitty cats like to change up their sleeping places on a regular basis. We’re always laundering and moving around his cat beds to different areas to keep him happy. On average, he’ll have 3-4 places that he’ll use for a week and then he’s looking for new places to hang out.

When shopping for pet beds it’s important to make sure that they’re easy to clean. We recommend that you pick a size that will fit comfortably in your washing machine. If you go too big or too thick (heavy) you won’t be able to launder them at home. You want to keep them clean and germ-free by laundering them on a regular basis.
We always launder them on the delicate or gentle cycle with a mild laundry or pet laundry detergent. Make sure that all of the soap and suds get thoroughly rinsed out…even if you have to run it through a rinse cycle for the second time. Soaps and detergents can irritate a cats skin. You want them clean but with no soapy residue.
Finally, you’ll want to let them air dry. We don’t recommend tossing them into the dryer. If you do, you’ll want to use the no heat or low heat setting. We hang them up to dry on a nice warm day outside on our clothesline. To get them hung up…just use clamps (made for the workshop) since regular clothespins won’t hold them. Let they hang until they’re thoroughly dry.
