Visiting the North Wildwood Shell Garden

Visiting the North Wildwood Shell Garden

North Wildwood Shell GardenWhile on vacation we took the time to visit the new North Wildwood Shell Garden in New Jersey. You’ll find it located right on the beach off of 20th street. Once you’re at the boardwalk…look for the big flagpole on the beach. You’ll find the garden right around the Boardwalk Lou Memorial Plaque. It’s very easy to get to!

Painting and decorating seashells is a lot like painting kindness rocks. You paint and decorate them…then leave them at various places that you go for other’s to find! I’ve been painting and decorating seashells since 2010…before it even become a big thing! I’m so happy to see thousands of people are now painting shells and distributing them. It’s also a great way to build up your own personal artwork collection.

North Wildwood Shell Garden

You’ll see a sign at the garden that gives you the instructions on how you can participate. You can leave painted & decorated seashells, take an unpainted shell and bring it back after you’ve decorated it…or just take ONE for your personal collection. Please don’t take MORE THAN ONE unless you are leaving MORE THAN ONE in return. We need to keep the new North Wildwood Shell Garden growing!

If you’re going to be in the Stone Harbor, Avalon, Cape May and/or Wildwood areas…please stop in to visit the new North Wildwood Shell Garden!

Would You Pay Extra for Premium Hospital Food and Meals?

Hospitals…they’re notoriously known for having terrible food options for their patients. Typically the food is bland, basic and offers nothing for your tastebuds to enjoy. It’s been like that for decades, although it has gotten a little better the past few years. While hospitals are

Maybelline New York Fast Gel Nail Lacquer

Maybelline New York Fast Gel Nail Lacquer

Maybelline New York Fast Gel Nail LacquerThree months ago I made the decision to start doing my own manicures and pedicures at home. I was tired of running into the nail salon every 2 weeks to get them done. Plus…the cost was getting outrageous! It was one of the best decisions that I’ve made! I’m saving money, time and my nails are looking beautiful without damage from a salon!

Over the past few months I’ve tried numerous brands of nail polish and lacquers. Some of have been quite pricey at $25+ per bottle whereas others were only a $1.25 per bottle. Expensive doesn’t always mean better!

I’ve been purchasing Maybelline New York Fast Gel Nail Lacquer and love the brand! Let me tell you why.

1. Affordable! I typically purchase them online but sometimes I can find a few at my local Dollar Tree store too!

2. They dry super fast! I’m a busy woman. I don’t have 1-2 hours to sit around waiting for my nails to dry. Sorry, got better things to do with my time.

3. Long-Wearing! I can get 10-14 days of wear. I use 2-coats of nail lacquer on my nails. Sometimes with a top coat and sometimes without. Obviously…with a top coat I get closer to that 14 days of wear.

4. Beautiful Colors. I love the range of colors and finishes that I can find. I can find classic shade, funky colors and yes…I love glitter and metallics!

Right now I enjoy painting my nails a solid color. Letting it dry and then going over that solid color with a nice clear nail lacquer that contains fine glitter. Gives them a really cool effect. On weeks that I know I’m going to be hard on my nails (going camping, traveling, gardening, etc.) I will paint my nails with just a clear with glitter shade…that way if I get any chips or wear it will be less noticeable.

Tip: I recommend using Cutex to remove nail polish and nail lacquers…especially ones that contain glitter or colorful metallics. A lot of the other brands take too long and too much product to get the polish off. Cutex gets it off quickly and easily.

Well…there you have it! That’s what is in my maincure beauty bag right now that I’m loving. If you haven’t tried the line yet…I highly recommend!
