Mailbox Monday is all about those FREE things you got in your mailbox last month. Freebies, Samples, Giveaway & Contest Prizes, Gifts, etc. What it doesn’t include….yucky bills that nobody wants! Here’s the goodies that arrived for our family last month.
Last month we got about 20 or so Christmas and holiday greeting cards in our mailbox. I love getting them and displaying them during the holiday season. A friend of mine sent me a Turtle themed melamine platter that she picked up at a Dollar Tree store on clearance (leftover from Summer) for a quarter. That will come handy during the summertime when we’re grilling and hosting backyard parties.
Hubby won a $50 prepaid Visa GC from one giveaway and a $25 Fandango GC from another giveaway. Our granddaughter entered a giveaway and won a set of 3 beaded gemstone bracelets. Oh, I almost forgot…we won 3 packages of cat treats, a bag of catnip and 2 new cat toys for our boy Romeo. He loves getting new stuff too!

Wow, can you believe that we made it through another year? 2024 seemed to drag out for this family. We had a few deaths in the family, several members had major surgeries and other things throughout the year that made 2024 a tough one. I’m happy to turn the page and move on to 2025.
Today we’ll be spending some time with family to enjoy a meal together (traditional pork, sauerkraut and mashed potatoes) and then we’ll enjoy playing a few games while watching a movie. We keep things pretty low-key on New Year’s Day. We’re all exhausted from the holidays and just need to relax.
