I remember when Downton Abbey first came on TV. I was at home and had just started light labor with my first child. Laying in bed I started watching the show and by the time it had concluded I was hooked. Over the years I’ve watched every single episode and was really excited when the Downton Abbey – The Motion Picture was released on DVD.

I’ve always loved TV shows and movies that give us a glimpse of what life may have been back in the good old days. I love seeing how the women & men dressed, the jewelry that they wore, the foods that they ate, how they decorated their homes, how they spoke to one another, activities that they may have engaged in, and so forth. If you like period pieces with plenty of drama, romance and scandal, you’re going to love the Downton Abbey – The Motion Picture.

Adventures of DALLY & SPANKY is a movie like none of the others that are currently out in the retail marketplace. This movie stars Trace Adkins, Denise Richards and Brenna D’Amico. It’s based on the true animal friendship of a Jack Russell Terrier and a rescued miniature horse.

Last weekend we sat down as a family to watch the film with our two grandchildren. What’s really nice about this one is that its entertaining for the kids and adults alike. It has a nice family-friendly story line and as my wife says “DALLY & SPANKY” are way too cute. Here’s some information about the film.

Addy and Ella are teenaged half-sisters with little in common. When 17-year-old Addy loses her father, she retreats from her family and struggles to deal with his loss. Not only do the animals get along, but they quickly become a dynamic duo thanks to Addy and Ella’s training. Their act quickly goes viral and wins their high school talent show, bringing the girls closer! Unfortunately, the family realizes that the cost to keep Spanky is too high and they’ll have to send him away. But Addy gets an idea and submits their routine to a popular TV talent show.
