Do you know how hard it is to find flameless votive candles with a timer function out in the retail stores? I searched for 3 months looking for them and came up empty! Sure, I could find all kinds of pillar candles and tapers with a timer feature, but I couldn’t find flameless votives! I finally gave up and went shopping on Amazon where I finally found them!

Why votives? I love using flameless votives in a variety of different ways. I have glass candle holders that use votives and I don’t burn regular candles in our home. Too dangerous with a cat and I have epilepsy, so I converted to flameless candles 10+ years ago. Next, they’re easy to use when decorating. Here’s a few simple ideas along with some benefits on using them.
– Turn a wine glass upside down. You can place a votive underneath it and a second one on the top.
– Use them inside your Jack o’ Lanterns and Carved Pumpkins
– Use them to add light to your tiered trays and table displays.
– Perfect size for shelves or add a few inside your hutch.
– Perfect additions to your Christmas and holiday displays.
– Keep one or two on in your master bedroom, kid’s rooms, and the bathroom. If power goes off at night you can see to go grab a lantern or flashlight.

As I stated, I purchased a 6-pack of Flameless Votives with a 6 Hour Timer from Amazon. They’re made out of plastic and come with the button-cell battery already in them. Ready-to-use right out of the box! At night you’ll turn it on…then forget it about it! It will stay on for 6 hours and then automatically turn off for 18 hours. The next night they will automatically turn on again at the same hour of time as the night before.
I really love this set and a week after I had received them I went back and ordered 2 additional sets. I am using them all around my home as part of my decor. I also stashed away 3 of them in our travel bag to take with us when we travel. I always forget to pack a nightlight…and these don’t require electricity!

Spring is just around the corner and it’s time to get our outside areas cleaned-up for the new season. On my to-do list this year is to replace our outdoor solar lighting, plant 4 new rose bushes, add a garden trellis, and a new fire pit for the family to enjoy.

First up, updating our solar lighting. We have several different styles on our property and all need to be replaced. The pack that I received includes 4 of the LED Solar Fence Lights. They’re done in a half-round shape with a flat back so they’ll sit flush against a fence, post, or wall. They’re compact in size (about the size of an orange). Each one has a solar rechargeable Li-ion battery installed inside it. You want to install them in a sunny location, I personally recommend an area that gets at least 6 hours of sunlight a day. Avoid full-shade areas.
Inside the package is a user’s manual to help guide you on installation. It’s easy, took me less than 5 minutes to have all 4 of them installed. There’s a little indented hanging hook area on the flat backside. Hang your nail or screw and hang them up. Before you hang them you want to click the on button which is located underneath the light. This will activate them for solar charging. Easy as pie to do!
These LED Solar Fence Lights are the perfect brightness. They add just the right amount of ambiance and glow to the area. I like that they’re made out of a hard and durable plastic. We get a lot of storms on the northeast coast and every time I’ve invested in glass globes they’ve been destroyed within weeks. These are meant to last and are weather resistant! You can leave them out year round.
