Scented Candles from the Trinity Candle Factory

Scented Candles from the Trinity Candle Factory

** Complimentary Sample Received for Review **

The Trinity Candle Factory offers triple scented candles in the form of jar candles, votive candles, scented wax cubes, pillar candles, candle accessories, reed diffusers, room sprays and fragrance oils. One of the many things I love about Trinity Candle is the fact that your entire order ships for only $7.99. Wow…I wish more online stores offered great shipping deals like that!

When you purchase your candles from the Trinity Candle Factory you will find that the fragrance lasts a long time and that they burn cleanly. Their fragrance list is quite massive and you will find floral fragrances, foodie fragrances and holiday fragrances.

The company sent me a complimentary 12 oz. soy blend traditional jar candle in the lovely Mojave Springs fragrance to review for all of you. The presentation of this candle is very nice and it looks elegant even though it’s in a glass jar…thanks to the pretty little gold ribbon bow around the jar’s neck.

Once you pop off the glass lid you will immediately get a whiff of the Mojave Springs fragrance which reminds me of a very light floral…the type of light floral I would smell when I came across wildflowers growing in the middle of the Arizona dessert where I once lived. The scent is not over-powering at all…just a nice light floral that smells clean.

The candle has 2 wicks which helps it to burn evenly and cleanly. Matter of fact, I have burnt this candle for several hours and it burned smoothly for me with little to no soot! I also appreciated that there wasn’t any sputtering of the flame from a poor quality wick, nope…this company uses high-quality materials for sure!

When you are done burning your candle and it has cooled, you simply pop the glass lid back on to help preserve it’s fragrance and to keep it looking clean. I really like using jar candles due to that simple fact of having a replaceable lid! It has an 80-90 hour burn time so it will last you a long time and give you many hours of enjoyment.

ThermaCELL Mosquito Repelling Patio Lanterns

ThermaCELL Mosquito Repelling Patio Lanterns

** Complimentary Sample Received for Review **

My husband and I spend a lot of time outdoors during the Spring, Summer and Fall seasons and one of the things we hate about being outdoors so much is…the bugs, more specifically…mosquitoes!

Last weekend we had friends over for a barbecue and we spent several hours outside and as I type this blog post I can honestly tell you that I have several painful mosquito bites on me that I am not too happy about!

The great folks over at ThermaCELL asked me to review their ThermaCELL Mosquito Repelling Patio Lantern and I jumped at the chance! It arrived the day after my little dinner party but trust me, I got busy using it right away!

ThermaCELL is the manufacturer of the only portable, butane-operated, area mosquito repellent, currently has 3 different lanterns in their product collection. The one we received for the review is the Patio Lantern. These lanterns are up to 93% effective and are registered with the EPA.

These lanterns are light-weight which makes them totally portable for those who enjoy being outdoors around their house, going out hiking, fishing, hunting, camping or just hanging on the beach. Within minutes of you starting up the lantern you will receive protection that lasts for several hours.

How They Work: The lanterns operate on a single butane cartridge which heats a mat releasing allethrin, a synthetic copy of a natural insecticide found in Chrysanthemum flowers that creates a 15×15 foot comfort zone. Each repellent mat provides up to 4 hours of protection & each butane cartridge provides up to 12 hours of operation. In addition or separately, LEDs powered by AA batteries provide ambient light.

Like I said, we got busy using our new patio lantern right away as we like to be out in our garden during the cooler evening hours & that is when those pesky mosquitoes like to be out too!ThermaCELL Mosquito Repelling Patio Lanterns

We read over the directions which are printed right on the box and had it up and running within a few minutes. We waited 10 minutes and then got busy in our garden as we wanted to wait a few minutes for it to “protect” us with it’s mosquito repelling powers. We spent about 70 minutes weeding our garden and picking tomatoes and I have to admit…for once…neither of us gotten bitten up! Yay!!!

The following evening we sat out on our deck and fired up the patio lantern again and were sitting outside for about 90 minutes and guess what? I didn’t get bit at all and hubby ONLY got one bite. Not perfect, but a 99% improvement on what was happening before we got the patio lantern!

We are really impressed by the ThermaCELL Patio Lantern and now we are going to invest in a few more. We entertain outdoors all of the time and it’s time we protect ourselves & our guests when they are visiting our home. We give this product a huge 2-thumbs up!
