I’ve been using a food thermometer for 20+ years and I’ve really seen them improve and become modernized over the years. One of the things I appreciate about this particular thermometer is it’s ease-of-use. Super simple! Over the past couple of months I’ve reviewed and featured several different products from 1EasyLife and today, I’m back to feature another one. I have to admit, this one is one of my favorite graters ever!
Let me introduce you to the Multi-Purpose 6 Grater from 1EasyLife. This grater can be used to grate cheese, vegetables, chocolate and other semi-hard to hard food items. Unlike other graters where you only get 1 to 4 different grating sizes, you get a total of 6 with this one.
You can get very fine shreds, chunky shreds or even get slices with this one easy-to-use kitchen tool. It’s a box-style grater with 6 different stainless steel sides. The housing unit is made out of durable plastic that looks like elegant wood. I actually like that it’s plastic, because wood can warp and stain from wear.
In the past I’ve used a similar grater that was entirely made out of metal. I hated it, because it only gave me 4 grating options, the handle was metal and hurt my hands and well, it rusted within months. ICK!
Here’s why I LOVE this one: I can comfortably hold the grater with the wood-like handle on the top, I get 6 different cutting options, it features food-grade stainless steel cutting blades (grating panels) that are surrounded by plastic, the bottom edge of the grater has non-slip silicone so that it doesn’t slide around when I’m using it and I can toss it into my dishwasher for easy cleaning. Phew! That’s a lot to love!
I’ve used the grater to grate up semi-hard and hard cheeses, to grate up chocolate and I’ve used it to grate up some carrots for my macaroni salad last weekend. I love that one single grater gives you 6 different sizes/styles.
One final thing…my mother is 68 years old and often has issues with her hand strength that comes with age. Well, she can easily use this manual grater with no issues or problems at all. Matter of fact, she’s been trying to steal my new grater for herself.
