Today, we have another great addition to our “End of Summer Entertaining” buying guide and it’s from the company called Chicago Metallic. If you are not familiar with this company, they make high-quality bakeware that really delivers great baking results.
Our Review: The company sent us their Chicago Metallic Dainty Delights Silicone Bakeware Pan to review for all of you. As you all know, I love baking and I am very passionate about it. Now that fall is almost here (and the holidays are coming), I will be spending a lot of time in my kitchen baking!
With this baking pan, you can create some yummy appetizers or mini desserts, and you can do it quickly and easily. This silicone bakeware pan is unlike most others you see out in the retail market, because it is reinforced with steel around the rim which makes it stable. I have hated silicone bakeware in the past because it was floppy and unstable. Having this reinforced steel rim makes a ton of difference!
There is very little, if any sticking with silicone bakeware and the little indented cups are flexible, so that you can easily pop-out your appetizer or baked item with ease. Clean-up is a snap! Seriously, you could wipe them out with a dampened paper towel with no problems at all.
I used my pan to bake a batch of mini ice cream cake pies. I used a box of chocolate cake mix and then poured the batter into the bakeware pan. I baked them in my oven for about 5 minutes at 350 degrees. Removed them, left them cool and popped them out. I then wiped out the pan with a dampened paper towel. I spooned vanilla ice cream into the cups and placed it into my freezer for 45 minutes. I left them get nice & firm. When they were firm, I removed them from the pan and sandwiched the little ice cream Pattie between two of the baked cakes and my family chowed down. This was an easy-to-make treat for them!
On another day, I made a batch of finger jello and poured the gelatin into the bakeware pan and then placed it into my refrigerator to get firm. Once done, I popped them out and put them into a bowl. My little grand daughter and hubby love jello and they snacked on them for 2 days. Easy-peasy! I wish I had photos of what I created but hubby accidentally deleted them off the camera before I got to them. blah!
I love my new bakeware pan and I am looking forward to it cooling off here in PA so I can really get to baking again! I can’t wait to create some other things in this wonderful pan! I think you all will love the quality, easy-of-use and it’s versatility!
