Tile has come a long way in the past 10 years. For a long time, tile was seen as an affordable alternative to granite and an upgrade from laminate, but sometimes less desirable in terms of resale. However, lately, tile options have changed remarkably and have become quite desirable in homes. The ease of install, gorgeous colors, and design options are making tile a big hit in remodels today.

My husband and I have been on the hunt for new flooring in the living room. back splashes, and a new shower for the master bath. I have looked at so many different options that it literally makes my head spin. I cannot decide what to do. One thing that I have noticed is the amazing tile choices that are on the market today. I love the look and feel of glass tiles and I have chosen to use glass tile in my kitchen for the back splash. Many come in a range of shades that make the look amazing with the right counter-top, which I am still shopping for, and using glass as a decorative element makes a beautiful option that is pretty affordable. I am leaning toward glass in the bathroom too, intermixed with various sizes of porcelain tile. I cannot wait to finalize the color choice and pattern for the master bath. This bathroom image looks pretty amazing too! Now to decide what to do about the living room floor. Such a decision!

My wish list is growing and with all of the design options that are available in the market today using tile, it is a choice that can help me create a designer look without the designer price tag!
