I’ve been keeping journals for over 36+ years. I first started journaling when I was pregnant with my daughter as a way to someday share with her my feelings on pregnancy, birth and raising a child. I kept journaling through her entire childhood and when she got married several years ago I presented all of them to her. She treasures those journals and started journaling too!
Now that I don’t have children at home I’m still journaling. Matter of fact, I have two different journals that I write in. One is on day-to-day life and the second one is one that I take with me when we travel. I like to document the places we go, the things we see and people that we meet along the way. It’s always fun to look back on the years that have passed.
Recently I received several journals that feature Jim Shore’s beautiful artwork. I’ve been a Jim Shore fan for several years and own a few of his figurines that I have displayed in my home. I always received compliments on them and I highly recommend them.

These are quality-made hardcover journals. They have some “weight” to them. They’re the type of journals you would love to gift and receive…or buy for yourself. They look beautiful when displayed. You don’t need to hide your journal away unless you want to. I think they look nice laying on a bedside table or on a bookshelf. They almost become part of your room’s decor. Yes, they’re that pretty!

They include a wooden wick that crackles and flickers for up to 50 hours like a wood-burning fire, transforming any room into a luxurious experience. Hand-poured locally and made from soy that’s paraben-free, cruelty-free, vegan friendly and non-toxic made with extracts of rosehip, hibiscus, and green tea.
For this review I received a complimentary candle in the Citrus Aurantium Petitgrain scent. Each candle 8 oz. candle is poured into a heavy-duty glass container (candle cup). It looks beautiful sitting out on a table, kitchen counter-top, desk top, etc. It’s not the type of candle you want to hide away when visitors come to your home. Nope…show it off with pride!
The candle sits inside a beautiful cardboard package (see my photos) which makes it perfect for gift-giving. Just add a bow and tag…you’ll be ready to go. As soon as you remove the top from the package you can smell the scent. It’s a beautiful mixture of mandarin, grapefruit, navel orange, and lemon which I find energizing and uplifting to my mood. That fragrance gets a little stronger once you light the candle and let it burn. In other words…you can benefit from the fragrance even when the candle isn’t lit.
I’ve been burning my candle on and off for the past 10 days and love it! It quickly fragrances an entire room (after about 10 minutes of burn time) which I appreciate. Next…it’s a clean burn without a lot of smoke or soot thanks to the soy. These are the type’s of candles you want to burn in your home. Finally, the fragrance is pleasing to both men and women. Yup, even my husband approves!
