Every year the women at my church get together to make hundreds of the A Very Special Gift Love Poems that we print out on cardstock and then decorate with a little paper gift package. Many of us then use them as inserts in greeting cards that we send throughout the year. Appropriate to send out or give out year round!
To make them you’ll need cardstock, a printer, scissors, scraps of gift wrap, ribbon, clear tape, and scrapbooking glue dots. You’ll find the poem below. You may need to resize it.
This is a very special gift,
That you can never see.
The reason it’s so special is
It’s just for you, from me.
Whenever you are lonely,
Or ever feeling blue,
You only have to hold this gift
And know I think of you.
You never can unwrap it,
Please leave the ribbon tied.
Just hold the box close to your heart,
It’s filled with love inside.
We fit 8 of them onto one sheet of cardstock when printing them out. You’ll cut them down to size, about the size of a recipe card. When inserting them into a greeting card you shouldn’t have to add any additional postage if the cardstock that you’re using is light enough.
Cut out a bunch of 1 1/4″ squares from scraps of cardstock. Cut out a larger square from the scrap of gift wrap. Fold the gift wrap around the square…tacking it down in the back with a small piece of clear tape. Wrap the square with scraps of ribbon. Adhere the little package onto the card with a scrapbooking glue dot.

I’m a simple girl and like classic things. I selected the Single Rose Box which comes beautifully packaged and ready for gift-giving. It arrives in a clear window box and you slide the lid off to see your beautiful rose inside. You leave it in the included container. It has been naturally preserved to retain it’s fresh cut appearance which can last up to 3 years.
There’s no maintenance with these roses! There’s nothing to water, feed, trim, or take care of. You do want to display them in a cool, dry place. Don’t display them in direct sunlight or a moisture filled area. Mine arrived in perfect condition and as soon as I slid it out of the box I could smell it. It smells beautiful and after a week I’m still walking by and smelling it!
There is a color for every person and ocassion! The Single Rose like the one I’m reviewing is available in 31 different colors, including rainbow! You can choose from over 5000 different arrangements! Just think of the cool color combinations that you can come up with!
A little instructional card will arrive with it…taking all of the “care” guesswork out of it. The presentation is just lovely and I would be PROUD to give them as a gift to a loved one, friend, or co-worker. They’re great for gifting on Birthdays, Bridal Shower, Wedding, Anniversaries, Valentine’s Day, holidays, Christmas, etc. Whenver you want to WOW your gift recipient with something beautiful and unique.
