My husband and I both suffer with a lot of aches and pains. On some days, the pain that I suffer with is so bad that I hardly get out of bed. On other days, it’s bad but at least I can move around and be active. My pain is typically in my upper back, lower back and hips. My husband gets a lot of neck & shoulder pain from his job. Pain…something we are both familiar with, unfortunately.

Recently we had the opportunity to try out the SumSonic Shiatsu Massage Pillow with Heat and wow…what a difference it has made. Seriously, who knew that a massage pillow with heat could really help to reduce aches & pains!

This is a 3-D massage pillow with 3 speed modes and it offers optional heat. It comes with a user’s manual which is really helpful on teaching you how to use it correctly and all of the different functions you can do with it. You can run it on household electricity or place it in your vehicle and plug it into your cigarette lighter. BOTH adapters come with it.

One of the things we like about it is that it comes with a corded hand control and you control all of the functions via that little corded remote. Once you get comfy, you don’t have to move again until you’re ready to. There are four buttons, so it’s super easy to use: Power, Speed, Direction and Heat.

You can use it for a hip/waist/lower back massage, shoulder massage, neck massage and/or leg massage. Let’s face it, that’s where most of us have our aches and pains! If your worried about falling asleep with it on? Don’t be, it has a 20 minute auto shutoff feature.

On day one that it arrived I hooked it up and used it in bed on & off for a few hours. On that particular day I had twisted my upper back the wrong way and the pain was pretty bad. I used it on the lower speed setting and with heat. I have to admit…later that evening my back did feel better. The pain wasn’t completely gone but it was indeed a lot better!

Since receiving it my hubby has gotten in on the massage action too! He’s used it on the back of his neck & shoulder area and on his lower back. In his opinion, this is better than a manual massage because he can control the speed and action of it. Plus, he loves the heat feature too!
