Being a California girl, I am able to wear thongs aka flipflops here, all they way until November or December, unless it rains of course. So needless to say I tend to go through a lot of pairs. So anytime I get the chance to try a new style, I am all for it. I was asked to check out a cool line of footwear from a company that offers a very unique spin on their thongs.
Get Grounded makes thongs that are crafted to bring you and your body into direct contact with the earth. It is called Grounding. The basis is actually a very old belief that being fully connected to the earth’s natural energy will in turn help you reduce body voltage and give you more energy. There are many people across the world and in the US who practice this lifestyle change as it can promote positive results in health and wellness that results in better sleep and overall well being.
To become Grounded it is a matter of choosing to be close to the earth as in walking barefoot and staying away from cement, concrete, asphalt, etc. and choosing to enjoy the dirt between the toes theory. There are a lot of products out that work as inserts to shoes to help ground you. Until now. Get Grounded has the 1st ever fully grounded footbed product in these women’s slip-on sandals, also known as Groundals. The contoured footbed is made with 3rd Planet’s proprietary TerraMater Footwear® material for full surface contact. This product has been in development for 4 years and is made completely in the USA.
I was sent a pair of womens Groundals thongs to check out. I chose the black color as it would go with anything. The first thing I noticed was the raised arch and the flexible material. These were going to be comfy! I was not disappointed. I loved the feel of the thong on my feet. The arch was just right for my foot and gave me a nice comfortable fit. The strap is comfortable and I did not have any rubbing or irritation at all. I love how the footbed starts to conform to your foot so you get a superb fit.
I have been wearing these thongs for a week or so and they are very comfortable. My feet feel great in them. I had plenty of support and I could wear them all day long with no issues. I think they actually help align my back as I was having some back pain from sleeping funny in the morning and once I started wearing the thongs, it pretty much disappeared. I love the cushion and they really made me feel great over all too. I had a nice spring in my step!
Overall, I love the comfort and fit of the Groundals. I am intrigued about the energy and grounding aspect of these shoes.

For the past few years I have suffered terribly with hip, leg and foot pain and have been trying out all kinds of health & wellness products trying to get some relief when I walk. Well, most of those products in the past failed…but today, I got a new product that I am absolutely in-love with!
For my review I received a Dr. Scholl’s Massaging Gel Insoles (for women) to try out for all of you. These insoles double the comfort in your shoe and they absorb shock all day, everyday! The insoles come in one-size ~ Women’s size 6-10 which works perfectly in my size 9 shoes.
Product Features & Info: Gel waves massage foot’s most sensitive areas and you get superior shock absorption with the ultra soft blue gel waves. The firmer dark blue gel provides added support and they feature a superior design. They can be worn inside work boots, work shoes, casual shoes and sneakers. These insoles can be trimmed to fit inside your shoes so that you get a customized fit.
My Thoughts: As soon as my new Dr. Scholl’s Massaging Gel Insoles arrived, I immediately placed them inside my new Ryka sneakers. I didn’t have to do any trimming of the insole at all and they perfectly slid inside each shoe.
Once they were in, I walked around my house doing some light housework, laundry and other tasks that I needed to get done. Most of the floors in my home are ceramic tile or hardwoods. Only 3 rooms have wall-to-wall carpeting and we all know how hard tile & wood can be on your feet!
Both of my heels have spur and that has been a great source of my foot pain for the past few years. I can honestly tell you that my heel spurs didn’t act up at all while sporting around the insoles in my new shoes. My legs felt less tiredness and pain too! I felt like I was walking around on a cushiony cloud of softness!
Overall, I am very pleased with them! I can easily pop them out of my sneakers and insert them into my loafers, dress shoes or clogs too! They recommend you replace your gel inserts every 6 months and I will definitely be doing that! Fabulous product!
