I have been getting more jogging time lately, and although my endurance is improving, I tend to stop after a while due to my right ankle and feet beginning to hurt. I try to use the best socks to help cushion my feet, but regular cotton socks lose their cushion rather quickly. Then I was sent Marathon Compression Socks from PRO Compression for review.
I’ve never been very familiar before with compression socks, I knew of sleeves for calves for older folks or the like who may need help with circulation in their legs. I have also seen some runners use sleeves too. I’m very glad I know about compression socks now!
I was sent the Marathon Compression Socks in Royal Blue, my favorite color. Since I have a wider calf than most, I was worried they may not fit, but they do, and all the way to just below my knees in length.

They fit snugly, and it took me a little while to be able to get the first one on since they are tight, but I realized the trick to it, and got the other on quickly. They’re tight, but in no way uncomfortable.
Compression socks are fantastic for runners, those who are standing on their feet all day, or even sitting at a desk all day, travelers, and always for recovery. They improve blood flow, which makes my performance better and my recovery time faster. I was able to go farther on my run than usual, even from the first time using them.

PRO Compression socks also support the muscles and tendons, making them very effective at preventing swelling and inflammation. I definitely noticed this on my runs. At the usual distance, there was significantly less pain than usual. At work, where I’m on my feet all of my shift, the pain in my feet was noticeably less with the Compression Socks.
PRO Compression not only has compression socks of many types (knee high, ankle length, mid shin cut) with all kinds of wonderful colors, but a lot of activewear (leggings, hats, armbands) as well. I love the Lifestyle socks, some have pretty unique and wild patterns!
PRO Compression over the calf compression socks are little more on the pricier side, but they are worth it by showing me how much better I feel when wearing them while working out and standing all day. I’m improving my times when jogging each day. Plus my legs and feet feel better after my workday. And they are made in the USA!
With all the colors and types PRO Compression offers, I wish for a pair for each day of the week! The perfect stocking stuffer for the athlete, golfer, traveler or anyone you know!
