Eddie Bauer is one of those retail stores that I have been shopping at for over 30 years! I have purchased everything from women’s tops, dress slacks, vests, denim jeans, blazers to sleepwear and have never been disappointed with any of my purchases…EVER!
What do I love about women’s fashions from Eddie Bauer? Well, there is a lot! This company keeps up on fashion trends but designs those trends in a way that everyday women can wear! Their clothing is always high-quality and fits the woman’s figure correctly. They are classic, trendy and always in-fashion!
When I was asked to review a piece of outerwear from Eddie Bauer I jumped at the chance! I live in the north east and already our weather has been brutal. For the review I selected the women’s Northern Aurora Down Vest to check out for all of you. This item comes in 4 different beautiful colors (hyacinth, papaya, snow and wave) and it was really hard for me to choose which color. I finally decided on the wave which is a beautiful icy light blue.
It has a water resistant shell with a 550-fill Premium Goose Down insulation for warmth without weight or bulk. It is as light as a feather but yet it keeps you nice and warm. It has a detachable hood & ruff and has princess seams for shaping. I would say that it is semi-fitted and glides over the body nicely.
There are side drawcords so that you can adjust the fit to your individual liking and it is about 24″ long. A great length which comes to the top of the hips on me and my model (my mother) who is wearing it in the photos. One of the great things about it is that it is completely machine washable! I love easy care pieces like this!
It has two generously sized side pockets so that you can get your bare hands or gloved hands inside the pockets easily. I really appreciate the heavy-duty zipper that runs up the complete front of the vent. You can leave it unzipped, zip it halfway or zip it the whole way up.
Since my mom stinks at taking photos for me…I had her model the vest for me while I took the photos. We are built completely different but yet the vest looks beautiful on us both. Regarding sizing, I would order true-to-size. We both wear a large and it fits us both perfectly.
I absolutely LOVE this down vest from Eddie Bauer! I love it so much that I have asked hubby to buy me 2 more (in the other colors) for Christmas! It is FABULOUS!!! I want them all! If you are looking for that perfect gift for that young lady (or older lady) on your holiday list…I highly recommend this Down Vest! I give it 10 stars out of 10 stars on my rating scale!

Being a California girl, I am able to wear thongs aka flipflops here, all they way until November or December, unless it rains of course. So needless to say I tend to go through a lot of pairs. So anytime I get the chance to try a new style, I am all for it. I was asked to check out a cool line of footwear from a company that offers a very unique spin on their thongs.

I was sent a pair of womens Groundals thongs to check out. I chose the black color as it would go with anything. The first thing I noticed was the raised arch and the flexible material. These were going to be comfy! I was not disappointed. I loved the feel of the thong on my feet. The arch was just right for my foot and gave me a nice comfortable fit. The strap is comfortable and I did not have any rubbing or irritation at all. I love how the footbed starts to conform to your foot so you get a superb fit.
I have been wearing these thongs for a week or so and they are very comfortable. My feet feel great in them. I had plenty of support and I could wear them all day long with no issues. I think they actually help align my back as I was having some back pain from sleeping funny in the morning and once I started wearing the thongs, it pretty much disappeared. I love the cushion and they really made me feel great over all too. I had a nice spring in my step!
Overall, I love the comfort and fit of the Groundals. I am intrigued about the energy and grounding aspect of these shoes.
