For the past 5 years Gia has dressed up as one of the Disney Princess’ for Halloween. This year…she is stepping outside of the box and going with something different. FINALLY.
When shopping for a Halloween costume we are pretty picky about what we let her select. We don’t let her choose evil, scary or skin-revealing costumes. The costume “style” that she chooses must represent her current age group. That’s right…we don’t let a 6 year old go out trick-or-treating dressed like a 19 year old. hmmm, no!
This year Gia selected an adorable Tiger Costume from Costume SuperCenter. When ordering this particular outfit I do suggest that you read their sizing chart and order true-to-size. For cleaning…I would recommend hand washing and air dry.

One of the things I like about this costume is that it’s the perfect costume for those of us who live in colder climates. Gia can wear black leggings or black jeans underneath the dress and a long sleeve tee underneath the printed hoodie. Plus, if it’s extremely cold out on Trick-or-Treat night she can easily slip a heavier jacket over the top because the hoodie isn’t thick or bulky.
All of the costume pieces simply slip onto her body. There is nothing complicated about it at all and she can easily dress herself. What is really surprising is how extremely well-made this costume is for the little price. That’s always a nice surprise! In addition, because of the way it’s made…she can wear this costume for several months during her “dress-up” and “play” times. It’s not a costume that screams “HALLOWEEN”.

The Butterfly Princess Costume comes with the princess dress with silver sparkle trim, removable fairy wings and a mini tiara. Everything your little girl needs to look beautiful on Halloween or for Princess dress-up time!
Little Gia is wearing a toddler girl’s size 3T right now and this costume fits her perfectly and she has more room to grow into it. I would say their sizing is spot on! The sleeves of the dress are sheer with some sparkles and then there is sparkles across the bust and the upper portion of the dress’s skirt.
We love that the butterfly wings are completely removable so if your little one needs to sit down in a car or in a chair, you can remove them quickly for their comfort. The little plastic mini tiara is perfectly sized for little toddler heads and is pretty comfortable for them to wear for long periods of time.
As you can see from my photos, little Gia is absolutely IN-LOVE with her new Butterfly Princess Costume and has been wearing it around the house during playtime. Once Halloween approaches, she will be wearing it to a costume party at her preschool along with some silver sparkle maryjane style shoes that I bought for her to wear with it. I think she is totally adorable in it!
We are planning a Nanny & Me Play Date and it will be a princess theme and I am sure she will be wearing the costume to our little play date with a few of her friends and their grandmothers. I need to look online for some great princess games and get ready for the party later this month.
Overall, we are super pleased with this new Butterfly Princess Costume from Wholesale Halloween Costumes. It’s priced just right and fits Gia perfectly. Happy Trick or Treating!
