The Enchilada Queen Cookbook by Sylvia Casares

How many of you love Mexican cuisine? I grew up eating a lot of Mexican food, since I spent a lot of my childhood living in Arizona. I’ve always enjoyed enchiladas, fajitas, tamales, quesadillas and just about anything else with Spanish flavor. If you love

RAO’S CLASSICS – 140+ Italian Favorites Cookbook

RAO’S CLASSICS – 140+ Italian Favorites Cookbook

RAO'S CLASSICS - 140+ Italian Favorites CookbookMy husband is Italian and growing up he ate a lot of Italian food. His grandmother and mother immigrated to the United States when his mother was only 9 years old. When it comes to Italian food, he’s all about authentic Italian dishes made the good old-fashioned way.

Recently we received a brand new cookbook called RAO’S CLASSICS which contains over 140 Italian favorites from the legendary New York restaurant. The book is by author’s Frank Pellegrino (senior and junior) with Joseph Riccobene. The book is by St. Martine’s Press with ISBN-13 9781250006288 and it was released for purchase/publication on November 1st, 2016.

Synopsis: From the legendary, tine corner restaurant in East Harlem where it’s impossible to book a table, now with locations in Vegas and Hollywood, comes a collection of their most beloved recipes and stories of the iconic eatery from its opening in 1896 to today, including visits from actors, entertainers, politicians and power brokers of every stripe.

In RAO’S CLASSICS, Frank Pellegrino Sr. and Frank Jr. share recipes for more than 140 Italian favorites from the New York institution that everyone knows but only a lucky few ever get to experience in person.

Examples of Recipes:

Lobster Fra Diavolo
Risotto Milanese
Mozzarella en Carrozza
Stuffed Italian Frying Peppers
My Grandmother’s Stuffed Calamari
Steak Pizzaiola
Red Velvet Shortcake
+++ Many More!

RAO'S CLASSICS - 140+ Italian Favorites Cookbook

I admit, I’m not the best Italian cook. I grew up eating a lot of Hispanic food, so Italian cooking is something I’ve been learning over the years, since I’ve married my husband. As someone who isn’t new to cooking (I’m at an intermediate level), I fell in-love with this cookbook right away. There are recipes for everyone in this book and for every cook’s individual level.

It’s a hardcover book that is broken down into appropriate chapters. Each recipe includes an ingredients list and step-by-step directions, with mouth-watering photographs sprinkled throughout. You’ll find simple recipes like how to make a genuine Caesar Salad with homemade dressing to more elaborate dishes like the Fusilli with Cabbage and Sausage. One recipe that I would like to make for dessert some day soon is the Oreo Cheesecake!

I’m very thrilled to have this Italian cookbook in my collection. If you’ve always wanted to learn how to cook authentic Italian recipes, this book is definitely for you!

The New Healthy Bread in Five Minutes a Day

The New Healthy Bread in Five Minutes a Day

The Chew Approved: The Most Popular Recipes from The Chew Viewers

The Chew Approved: The Most Popular Recipes from The Chew Viewers

The Chew Approved: The Most Popular Recipes from The Chew ViewersOur kitchen is a busy place. My husband is always whipping up something good and when we have dinner guests, it seems to be where everyone gathers. We enjoy trying new recipes and we recently received a new cookbook that features recipes from the viewers of the ABC hit show, The Chew. The recipes come from a popular segment on show called “The Chew Tank.”

If you aren’t familiar with The Chew, it’s a fantastic daytime show hosted by Mario Batali, Carla Hall, Clinton Kelly, Daphne Oz, and Michael Symon. In Chew Tank, viewers submit their own recipes and compete for a chance to cook with one of the hosts—I’d be so starstuck I probably wouldn’t even be able to boil water!

The Chew Approved is the fifth companion cookbook to the hit daytime show and it provides you with pages full of tips and tricks that make cooking for your family and friends more fun and manageable than ever. The recipes are enjoyable, easy and have simple ingredients that you can find just about anywhere.

In this collection of recipes, you’ll find sections featuring breakfast, appetizers, weeknight dishes, weekend feasts and sensational sweets. Each chapter contains recipes with full-color photos that will make your mouth-water and it will be tough to decide which recipes to try first! We have plans this weekend for brunch and we’re thinking of making the Feta, Spinach and Sweet Potato Frittata. Other recipes you’ll find it this cookbook are:

• Crab Cakes and Veggie Slaw
• Quinoa Black Bean Sliders
• Artichoke Chicken
• Pork Chops with Apple Mash and Roasted Brussels Sprouts
• BBQ Fried Chicken
• Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

The recipes are a wonderful collection from The Chew viewers of all ages and backgrounds from the novice cook to the more seasoned kitchen veteran. This book would make a great gift for a newly married couple or as a gift for a college student who is venturing out on their own. It also contains a variety of dishes including some vegetarian dishes. The Chew Approved will be available at the end of the month at Amazon, Barnes and Noble as well as other locations throughout the country.
