The past few months I’ve been teaching myself how to make some of our favorite cocktail drinks. You can find a ton of easy-to-make cocktail recipes on the TwoClassyChics blog, other websites, and over on YouTube.  Today I’m sharing with you tips on how to make the perfect Dirty Martini. You can drink them on-the-rocks or straight.

Dirty Martini Recipe

2 1/2 oz. Vodka
1/2 oz. Olive Juice
1/2 oz. Vermouth
Olives

Mix together the Vodka, Olive Juice and Vermouth in a cocktail shaker or mixing glass. You don’t have to get fancy if you don’t own a cocktail shaker. Pour into a chilled martini glass. Add an olive or two.

Tips: Don’t skimp on the vodka! You want to use a good brand in a medium-price range. Some of the cheap ones don’t give the drink the “umpf” that it needs. We recommend using jarred olives, not canned olives which have a better flavor plus you can see exactly how much olive juice you’re getting in that jar. This drink is best served in a chilled martini glass and you want to serve it immediately after preparing it.

Pisco Sour Cocktail Drink Recipe

2 oz. Pisco
1 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
5 oz. Simple Syrup
1 Fresh Egg White
Fresh Lemon Wedge
Ice

Place the Pisco, fresh lime juice, simple syrup and fresh egg white into a cocktail shaker. Cover and shake (without ice) until blended. Remove lid and add ice. Shake again until blended. Pour into a glass. Serve immediately.

Tips: If you like your drinks well-chilled then serve this one over-rocks (ice cubes placed into the glass). I added a cherry to each of the Pisco Sour’s that I made to add color.
