How to Make a Blue Tahoe Cocktail Drink

How to Make a Blue Tahoe Cocktail Drink

How to Make a Blue Tahoe Cocktail DrinkThe Blue Tahoe cocktail reminds me of something similar that I had when I was vacationing out west. I think the only difference was the drink that I had used lime juice and a lime wedge for garnishing whereas this drink utilizes lemon juice and a lemon wedge. I think I would like this version more! Perfect for summer entertaining or just when you want to unwind after a long day.

Blue Tahoe Cocktail Drink Recipe

2 oz. Champagne
Ice Cubes
1 oz. Lemon Juice
1 1/2 oz. El Tesoro Platinum Tequila
1 oz. Blue Curacao
Lemon Wedge
Mint Leaf

Use a tall, chilled glass. Add-in the ingredients in the order given in the recipe and as shown in the photograph. When it comes to lemon juice…always use freshly squeezed lemon juice. We recommend using the ZULAY Kitchen Lemon Lime Squeezer. You can check out my mom’s extensive review on the product on our blog.

Tips for Buying the Perfect Lemons: Hold the lemon in your hand. It should feel firm and not squishy when you lightly press on the rind. Avoid fruits that have colored spots or damaged areas. It should be bright yellow, not a dingy-brown or tan color. Just like any fruit, they can bruise easily. Larger lemons and limes tend to be a little sweeter than their smaller counterparts.

Storage Tips: Store them in a plastic food storage bag in your refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Don’t store other items on-top of them. I get the best results when I place them in a bag in the vegetable bin in the refrigerator.
