If you have been reading the Two Classy Chics blog for any length of time now you will already know that I am a self-professed neat & clean freak. That’s right, I am one of those weird people in the world who enjoys cleaning my home and keeping it looking nice.
With that said, I am very picky about the cleaning products that I purchase and use. For the most part, I use natural cleaning products for the majority of my cleaning tasks. I do admit, I do use a few traditional cleaners from time to time too.
Recently I was introduced to a line of natural cleaning products from Citra Solv and immediately fell in-love with them! These are natural products that are easy-to-use, smell good and do a great job at household cleaning!
The HomeSolv Automatic Dishwasher Detergent is made with real essential oils and will leave your dishes sparkling clean and spot free. It is a powdered phosphate free and chlorine free formula. It contains no synthetic perfumes or dyes. It is biodegradable and safe for all septic systems.
It has been years since I’ve used a powdered dishwasher detergent so I was a little nervous about trying this one out. I loaded my dishwasher as I normally do and poured it into the dispensing cup, shut the load and ran the dishwasher on the normal setting. About 40 minutes later the load was done. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean all of my dishes, pots & pans, glassware and utensils were! On top of that, my glass baking dishes and drinking glasses were spot-free! Amazing!
The HomeSolv CitraDish Natural Dish Soap is one of the best liquid dish soaps I’ve ever used! It has a marvelous citrus orange scent to it thanks to the real essential oils in it’s formulation. It is tough on grease and gentle on your hands. It is derived from natural, biodegradable and renewable sources.
I squirted a little bit of this liquid dish soap into some hot running water in my kitchen sink. I first hand washed a baking pan that was greasy with chicken grease. It really cut through that grease and my baking pan was sparkling clean within minutes. To really put it to the test, I then added in some glassware and plastic dessert bowls to my water to see if it would keep grease from clinging to them and it did! I appreciate that it is not overly sudsy and you get just enough to get the job done. I love the orange fragrance and my hands were super soft when I was done. Yay!
The CitraSolv Valencia Orange Natural Cleaner & Degreaser Concentrate will make over 22 gallons of general all-purpose cleaner. It is made for your toughest stains, grease and everyday cleaning…made with real essential oils too! To use, dilute 3/4 teaspoon with 22 oz of water and place in a spray bottle or 4 teaspoons with one gallon of water in a bucket. It can be used to clean wood, linoleum, tile, formica, washable fabrics, upholstery, carpets, brick, stone, patio furniture, ovens, grills and more!
I decided to mix up an entire basin full and got busy wiping down some of the surfaces in my home that I wipe down on a weekly basis like my kitchen counter tops, the stove top, front’s of my appliances and so forth. I really appreciated that it smelled so good, like a freshly sliced orange!!! It did a great job at removing dirt, debris and grease from all of my kitchen surfaces. I didn’t wear gloves at all and it was super gentle on my hands.
It did equally as well when I used it to clean all of the surfaces in both of my bathrooms. I am really impressed with this all-purpose cleaner!

I admit, I love doing my family’s laundry. Yes, you read that right. Out of all of the household cleaning chores, doing the laundry is one that I actually enjoy.
Today I wanted to give you some of my favorite laundry stain removal tips.
1. Always pre-treat a stain immediately. As soon as it happens or as soon as you notice it…treat it! You can use products like the dreft to go Instant Stain Remover Pen which is super quick & easy to use. You don’t have to launder the garment immediately, but you do need to treat the stain.
2. Don’t rub the stain further into the fabrication! Always take a clean, dry cloth or paper towel to “blot” up any excess. Never rub or scrub!
3. Before using any stain removal product test a small amount of the product on an area that can’t be seen. Not all stain removal products work on all fabrications.
Now, some of my favorite stain removal products happen to be from Dreft. Here is some information about their new line of products:

The company sent me 3 of their new products to try out for all of you and after just one week…I was totally in-love with them! As you all know, I have a 5 1/2 year old grand daughter with sensitive skin. We still wash her clothing in the Dreft laundry detergent. I was super excited to try out the new laundry stain removers also made by Dreft.
The Dreft To Go Instant Stain Remover Pen is absolutely fabulous! We have been keeping it in Gia’s travel bag since she goes back & forth from our house to her house. Now when she gets a stain on her clothing, we pre-treat it right away with the to go pen.
I love the big bottle of Dreft Laundry Stain Remover and keep that one in my laundry room. I have to admit, I have been using it on all of our clothing and household linens, not just Gia’s items. Recently I used it when I noticed a makeup stain on one of my bathroom hand towels & that stain came right out!
The little “travel size” bottle is packed in our travel bag because we do a lot of traveling with my other job. I keep it packed with our toiletries so I always know where it is at and it takes up hardly any room.
It is nice to know that Dreft has these products available now out in the retail marketplace. I love that they do the job extremely well and that there are NO foul odors when using the product. They actually smell pleasant!
