I admit, I’m a self-professed neat & clean fanatic. Over the past 7 years, I’ve shared many of my cleaning tips and hacks right here on the blog. While I enjoy cleaning my home…I want the products that I use to WORK and I want them to work quickly. I enjoy cleaning…I just don’t enjoy doing it all day long.
A few years ago I was introduced to microfiber cleaning cloths and over the years, I’ve bought many of them. Some of them have been decent and others, well, not so good. Not all microfiber cleaning cloths are created equally, so I’m pretty particular about the ones that I buy.
Buying Tips from Shelly: Always check out the sizes of the cloths! Make sure that the size you’re buying will fit comfortably in your hand. You don’t want the cloth too small, nor too large. Touch them to check out their thickness. I like medium-weight cleaning cloths which do the best job. Look at the stitched edging that goes around the outer edge of the cloth. I like the ones that have great over-locked stitched edges which prevents frayed edges over time. The one’s I’m featuring today…meet ALL of Shelly’s requirements!

I’ve been using this starter set to clean my home for over 2 weeks now, which means I’m using them every day. I love the size, shape and thickness of each one. I really LOVE that each cleaning cloth is a different color, so I can assign them to particular rooms or particular cleaning job.
For the past 2 weeks I’ve used them to clean my kitchen, bathrooms, the baby’s toys, mirrors & windows around my home and all kinds of things. You know, your daily & weekly cleaning chores! One of the things I LOVE using them for is to clean the inside of my refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven and indoor grill. You never want to use chemicals to clean food surfaces and using microfiber cleaning cloths are perfect for those jobs!
A few days ago I used one of the e-cloth microfiber cleaning cloths to give my dining room table, chairs, kitchen table & chairs, countertops and even the baby’s highchair a good overall cleaning! I mean I wiped them all down from top to bottom and side to side! Wow…I didn’t realize how grimy everything was and I’m constantly wiping those things down. The cleaning cloths got dirt & grime that I wasn’t even seeing. Yay for that!!!
When it comes to bathroom cleaning…they are the BEST things ever! You can clean you shower doors, tub walls, bathtub, sinks, toilets, plumbing fixtures, light fixtures, etc. with that bathroom cleaning cloth. It does it all. Then once you’re done…go over your glass, mirrors & fixtures with that Glass & Polishing Cloth to shine everything right up.

If you have been reading my blog for the past few years you will already know that I love to clean and that includes doing my family’s laundry. With that said, there is one cleaning/laundry chore that I despise and that’s ironing. Yup, that’s right, I absolutely HATE to iron! I don’t care if it’s clothing, linens or whatever, I try to avoid ironing every chance that I get.

Recently I was sent a package of the Downy Wrinkle Releaser Plus products to try out for all of you, along with a brand t-shirt, so that I could test the product out.
I misted the tee lightly with some water and then balled it all up and let it sit out to dry overnight. I wanted to make sure it was a wrinkled mess before my test. The next day I unrolled the tee and it was indeed a wrinkled nightmare. I put the tee onto a hanger and lightly misted the front. I was really surprised at the pleasant fragrance of the product. Crisp, fresh and clean smelling. I got busy gently tugging and smoothing out all of the wrinkles from the t-shirt. Once the front side was done, I lightly misted the back and repeated. The entire process took me less than 5 minutes.
So, how did the product do? Well, the product removed 95% of the wrinkles and fold lines that used to be in the tee. It looks like I freshly ironed it and that pleases me! In addition, the tee smelled fresh & clean, no odors of any type, thanks to the odor eliminator that is in the product.
This product is fantastic! I walked all around my home lightly misting my toss pillows, throw rugs, window toppers, window curtains, fabric shower curtain and all sorts of other textiles that needed a little freshening up. Within minutes, all of those stinky odors that accumulate in our home’s textiles were gone. My house now smells fresh & clean…room to room. When I walk through it or guests walk through my home…they see clean and they smell clean! Yippee!
