Holiday Movie Night 12 Dog Days Till Christmas DVD
Synopsis
In 12 Dog Days Till Christmas, Jack (Vincent Giovagnoli, Passport to Explore) is a charming but misguided foster teenager who can’t seem to stay out of trouble and is assigned by his probation officer (Reginald VelJohnson, Family Matters) to help with clean up at a local animal shelter for his community service. With a lack of funds, the shelter will soon close its doors, and Jack is reluctantly persuaded by Ryan (Grainne McDermott, 1 Chance to Dance), one of the three girls who run the shelter, to use his charms to help place all the dogs in loving homes before Christmas. But as Jack spends more time around the homeless pups, he starts to realize that his own life might parallel that of the animals around him. With the clock ticking—and for the first time in his life—Jack finds a sense of responsibility and real connection to the true spirit of Christmas as he joins forces with Ryan to find homes for 12 of the most unwanted pups.

My Thoughts:

I thoroughly enjoyed 12 Dog Days Till Christmas. The film, like the protagonist, Jack, was very charming. I know little of the type of life some teens and children face when in foster care, especially if moved house to house. Although I can only imagine how rough it can be for them. In that sense, as much as Jack misbehaved, it was almost understandable. Jack is very smart (sometimes too much for his own good). I was very happy to see that Jack was sent to work with the dogs, and that he ended up caring very much for them. I don’t blame him; all those dogs in the shelter were adorable.

I loved how humorous this movie was. There were many moments that I could not help but laugh. The funniest part to me was how he would not get along with Ryan but they made a great team because of their qualities—Jack was very persuasive. Unfortunately at first, he only decided to help to get something out of it. Ryan loved all the pups deeply and her perseverance kept her dedicated into finding a home. I was glad that they put their differences aside and decided to work hard to help the dogs. This was truly a heartwarming story about doing good, as well as the thought of “Christmas Miracles”.

This is a great film for almost all of the family. It was very cheerful and joyful, as a Christmas movie should be. It did have some emotional moments, which was sad, but it made the film really great, because it made it a realistic story.

I couldn’t seem to find a rating on this movie specifically but based on what I’ve seen, I would think it’s at least PG (Parental Guidance suggested) only because of Jack’s angry moments where he’s a little rude to some people and because of his lack of judgment for his vandalism. Other than that, it was something many people of many different ages could and should see.

12 Dog Days Till Christmas will be available on Amazon, AT&T, Google Play, iTunes, Vimeo and VUDU on November 29.

Personalized Holiday Ornaments from Ornaments with Love** 2014 Holiday Gift Guide **

I love decorating for the holidays and every year we put up at least 3 holiday trees here in our home. One of our trees is decorated with ornaments that we have had since we were kids and from the early years in our marriage. The second tree is decorated in a “mans” theme and our third tree is decorated in a “coastal/beach” theme.

Ornaments with Love is a fabulous company where you can get personalized Christmas tree ornaments. I have purchased many ornaments from them over the years and have never been disappointed. They have the world’s finest personalized ornaments and one of the largest selections of ornaments that I have ever seen!

For my review the company sent me their “Flipped Over Each Other” beach theme’d Christmas ornament to check out for all of you. I have to admit upfront, I own many of their ornaments and this one happens to be one of my new favorites!!!

When hubby and I visit our beach house we always take time out to go sit and watch the dolphins nearby. We are very fortunate that there is a great spot in North Wildwood where you can sit for hours and see them out there playing in the water. Since we love dolphin watching, I selected this ornament to remind us of that passion that we both share.

Personalized Dolphin Christmas Ornament

It measures 3 1/2″ in diameter and comes ready to hang. We had our’s personalized with our names, date and at the bottom it says “Flipped For Each Other” which is very cute and very true! We have been married for 29 years now!

I love the colors in this ornament which is perfect for a coastal holiday tree. You will see white, light turquoise, pink, peach, yellow and a pale aqua. It is nice & light-weight so it won’t make your tree branches sag from weight.

As always, I am super pleased with the quality of ornaments that I receive from Ornaments with Love. Matter of fact, I have my eye on several others that I need to pick up before the holiday arrives.

Head on over to Ornaments with Love and take a look around. They have hundreds of different personalized holiday ornaments available in a wide variety of styles.
