Elegear Multicolor 1000 LEDs Diamond Bead String Lights for Christmas Decorating

Elegear Multicolor 1000 LEDs Diamond Bead String LightsMy husband goes BIG when it comes to decorating the outside of our home for the Christmas holiday. Every year the outdoor light display gets bigger and bigger. He takes great pride it putting up the Christmas lights and everyone in our local area enjoys them! With that said, he’s picky about the lights that he uses.

This year he was able to save a lot of time and work with the Premium Quality 1000 LEDs Diamond Bead String Lights that are 100 meters long! That one strand was long enough to go around the entire roof of our home and then some! It’s much safer to use a long 100 meters strand instead of plugging a lot of shorter strands together to get the length that you need. Not only safer, but it saves you a lot of time too!

Elegear Multicolor 1000 LEDs Diamond Bead String Lights

These are PREMIUM QUALITY LED Bead lights and I mean PREMIUM! They come beautifully packaged inside their storage box. Once you get home you can read the simple instructions on the box and then get ready to hang them. Just holding them in your hand you’ll see and feel the quality. Hubby was really impressed with them.

He keeps hooks up along our roof line year-round to make Christmas decorating easier for him. He got the ladder out and up onto the roof he went. Usually it takes him 2-3 hours to get the roof-line lights up, but not this year! The strand is 100 meters long so he had the job done within an hour. He didn’t have to put smaller strands together which saved him time. It completely surrounded our roof the entire way around! Yay!

One of the best things about using LEDs is that they’re safer to use. They don’t over heat and they a lot more cost efficient. If you don’t like running up your power bill during the holiday season…switch over to the more cost efficient LEDs. Plus, they’re brighter!

I really like the colors included on this light set and the small bulb size. During the daytime you can barely see them (which I like) but when you turn them on at night you get a beautiful light show. BEAUTIFUL!!! There are 8 different flash modes: twinkling, flashing, chasing, steady-on, fading, etc. You can change it up with the push of a button on the included adapter.

You can use these LED Christmas Lights inside or outside your home. You can use them at Christmas time or any time of the year when you want to put on a light show. They would be cool to use during summertime backyard barbecues, family parties, weddings, etc. They’re best LED light strand in our entire collection and we love them!

Puzzle Pieces Wreath Christmas Ornament Craft Project

Puzzle Pieces Wreath Christmas Ornament Craft Project

Puzzle Pieces Wreath Christmas OrnamentGot old cardboard puzzles laying around? Looking for something fun to do with the kids this holiday season? If so, we have the perfect, low-cost craft project for you! You’ll only need a few basic craft supplies to make these adorable Puzzle Pieces Wreath Christmas Ornaments. We had fun making these with a group of kids age 11 to 13 years of age.

We used a hot glue gun to assemble everything. Older children can use one with supervision by an adult. If you’re doing this project with younger children I recommend using a clear, quick-drying craft glue. You can make several of these ornaments over the course of a weekend or two afternoons, allowing time for paint and glue to dry.

Puzzle Pieces Wreath Christmas Ornament

Green Pipe Cleaner
Cardboard Puzzle Pieces
Green Acrylic Craft Paint
Paint Brush, Paper Towels, Water Dish
Multi-Color Paint Pens
Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
Red Satin Ribbon
Scissors
Sheet of Aluminum Foil

Form the green Pipe cleaner into a circle twisting the two ends together. Set aside.

Lay sheet of Aluminum Foil on to your work surface. It will prevent painted pieces sticking to your work surface. Paint each puzzle piece with 2 coats of green acrylic paint. Make sure you paint the cardboard side and edges of each one. Leave the printed side unpainted. Let dry.

Use hot glue to attach them to the pipe cleaner and over-lapping the edges. Let dry. We opted to use acrylic paint pens to add the polka dots to serve as the Christmas lights. You can do the same thing with the end of a paint brush dipped into paint to make the perfect polka dots. Let dry.

Cut a 4″ piece of red satin ribbon to make the hanging loop. Glue to the backside of the wreath. Cut a 8″ piece of red satin ribbon and tie it into a bow. Glue bow onto the front of the wreath as shown in the photo. Let dry.

Notes: You want to use light colors to make the polka dots so that they stand out on the dark green background. We don’t recommend little kids using hot glue guns, so use a quick drying craft glue when working with little ones. My granddaughter is 12 years old and used a glue gun just fine.
