Our Review: We were sent the New Sprouts Ring it Up! My Very Own Cash Register to review for all of you. This item is made for children ages 2 and up and is made out of a hard durable plastic. It features big chunky buttons, dual coin drops and 5 number coins also made out of the same hard plastic.

* Press the number buttons to spin the display and count what you see.
* Twist the knob and watch the coins tumble down the slide, or close the drawer and watch them magically appear.
* Cash Register measures 10″L x 8″H x 9W

Our Princess loves to play house, fast food restaurant and grocery store with her friends and has been wanting a cash register for a long time. When this one arrived to our home…the Princess could hardly wait for me to get it out of the box and set up for her to play with.

On that very first day she decided that we were all playing fast food restaurant and of course…she was the employee and hubby & I were the paying victims customers! LOL Anyway, we used “play food” from her kitchen set and got busy playing with the new cash register.

Here is what I love about this product: 1. I love the size…it’s the perfect size for preschoolers. 2. I love that it’s made out of a hard plastic material which means that I can wipe it down to keep it clean & it’s light enough to tote around. 3. The “pretend” plastic coins, knobs and register buttons are perfectly sized for their little handles.

If you ask Princess what she loves about it she will tell you that she loves when that drawer comes open (she says it’s magic) and she can put coins in there and/or take them out. She plays with this cash register a lot and I am glad to see that she is getting a lot of use out of it. If there was one thing I would change with this product it would be to include more coins…I feel that ten coins would be better than just including five.

Overall…we are really enjoying it and I think it’s a great educational toy for children. They can use it to play house, school, restaurant, grocery store…whatever!

Today I would like to introduce you to the company called Educational Insights based out of Southern California. Educational Insights is the manufacturer of playful products with serious educational value, including subject-specific classroom products, teacher resources, educational toys, and games. For our review we were sent the cute, fun & loveable  The Sea Squad” Puppet-on-a-Stick set to review for all of you. This fun play set is made for ages 3 and up and comes packaged in a cute storage box. It’s great for pretend play, puppet shows and self-expression.

Meet The Sea Squad: Flipper the anglerfish, Dipper the octopus, Chomper the shark, and Bob the clam.

There are two ways to make their mouths move: (1) You can use the lever on the stick or (2) you can pull down on the ball at the bottom of the stick.

Our Thoughts: Princess is just now enjoying this type of creative play and we had a blast playing with these fun sea-themed puppets-on-a-stick! We set up our own little puppet theater using an empty cardboard box and she played with these puppets for hours! Later that night…two of them found their way into our bath tub for more playtime fun!

The puppets are extremely well-made and over-sized…which makes them perfect for preschoolers and school-aged children to play with. Their mouths are really easy to open/close and the Princess prefers moving their mouths by using the lever but my god son prefers using the ball at the bottom of the stick. Glad that there are 2 different options with that.

They are brightly colored which makes them very appealing to young children and out of the 4 puppets included in the set…the Dipper and the Bob were Princess Gia’s favorites! Not sure why…but those two are the top of her list! A great set that provides hours upon hours of creative playtime fun!
