Fun Cahootie Game For Young Girls

Fun Cahootie Game For Young Girls

SlumberParty Gir's Cahootie GameToday I have a really fun product to introduce you to called the Cahootie which brings back a lot of school girl memories to me. Do you all remember those paper fortune telling games that all of us girls used to make and play with while in grade school? Well…the Cahootie is just like those but a lot fancier and a lot more fun! Right now…there are 21 different Cahooties that you can purchase!

These Cahooties are fun for girls who host slumber parties, fun for Birthday parties, summer camp, etc. They have several different styles available including 4 animal planet styles too! Each Cahootie set comes with: 1 durable Cahootie, 40 reusable stickers and a Cahootie instruction sheet. Each Cahootie set is available for purchase at only $6.99 each.

Our Review: We received the Birthday Diva Cahootie to review for all of you. I have an 11 year old niece who has a birthday coming up the end of July so I thought this would be a fun item for her. The Cahooties are recommend for ages 7 and up. After you take the Cahootie out of the package you will select 8 of the stickers that come on the sticker sheet and place them under each flap on the Cahootie. The person holding the Cahootie asks a friend to choose one of the top panels and then you spell out the word shown on the panel by moving the Cahootie with your hands. (just like those paper fortune tellers we made in grade school). Then you ask that same player to pick an inside flap and you spell out that word using the Cahootie. The player then picks any one of the four triangles showing and the flap is then opened to reveal that players fortune, trivia or challenge. This is a lot of fun!!!

I haven’t given this to Sophie yet but when I see her…she is going to love this since she is having 7 girls spend the night at her house for her 12th birthday party! These girls are going to have a lot of fun with this Cahootie! All of the stickers that you place on this Cahootie are Birthday related questions and challenges so it’s perfect for a girl’s birthday party/slumber party. The Cahootie is made out of heavy duty card stock type of paper and is brightly colored with fabulous girly designs and even has faux gems glued onto the panels which “bling” it up! Since there are 40 reusable questions/challenge stickers the girls can keep rotating them to get different results each time they use it. My best friend and I tried out the Cahootie and had a ball playing with it because we used to do the same thing with those paper fortune tellers we used to make in grade school. ahhh…what fun memories!

Out Of The Box Word On The Street Junior Board Game

Today I would like to introduce you to the wonderful company called Out Of The Box where you can purchase some of the coolest games I have seen in a very long time. What I love about the company is that they make games for adults, for kids and for family’s to play together plus all of their games are affordably priced! This company has won numerous awards from parents and teacher associations across the nation so you know their products are top notch!

Today I am reviewing for all of you the Out of the Box game called Word on the Street Junior Edition made for ages 8 and up and it takes 2-8 players to play the game. Here is some information about the game. Word on the Street Junior brings the excitement of Word on the Street to the entire family. Each turn, one team flips over a category card and team members quickly brainstorm words that fit the category. The team agrees on a word before the time runs out (hourglass timer) and then pulls each letter in that word one lane closer to their side of the street. The first team to pull eight letters off the street wins! Doesn’t that sound fun? Yup it does and it is fun!

I invited my nephews over for an afternoon play date with us so that we could sit down and try out this game with them. They are ages 8, 11 and 13 years of age. I popped us some popcorn, got us some beverages and we all sat down to play the game. Since we had an odd amount of players I sat out and supervised the game playing as my hubby teamed up with the 8 year old and they played against the 11 and 13 year old. What I really love about this game is that the directions on how to play it is simple and easy to understand so in my opinion…kids really don’t need supervision by an adult to play it…older kids will do just fine on their own. Each team took their turn in flipping over a category card and then brainstormed to come up with words to fit within that category…before the time ran out…they selected their chosen word. They then moved the letters for that word over to their side of the street and the next team took their turn. The first team to pull 8 letters off the street to their side of the street wins the game and in this case…my 11 year old and 13 year old nephews won! It took about 30 minutes to play the game and once game one was done…they played it a second time and the same team won again! The boys had a fabulous time playing this game with my husband and totally enjoyed themselves.

We really love this game! It is easy to play and it’s a game that doesn’t take hours upon hours to play like some other games. It is a fabulous family game that even the adults will enjoy. We give the game a huge two thumbs up! It really is a MUST HAVE board games for those of you with older children as it helps them with their vocabulary development, creative thinking and the value of teamwork.
