Cook Me a Rhyme Children's Cookbook

About the Author: These stories were created by author Bryan Kozlowski. Kozlowski is an alumnus of The Culinary Institute of America where he graduated valedictorian and independently studied food history and folklore. He’s published articles on the role of food in classic literature and haw written for Slate and Country Life magazine.

These cookbooks are absolutely adorable. The recipes are very clever, simple, and super easy to follow…the perfect recipes for parents and their kids to do together. I choose one of the recipes from the brunch collection called “Baa, Baa, Black Sheep”. I decided on this recipe because breakfast is the most important meal of the day and gives you the energy you need to take on the world. I did cut this recipe in half, since I will be the only one consuming the end product.

Baking Homemade Granola

I love how each line of the poem is a step in preparing the dish. For this first line in the poem, Baa, baa, black sheep, have you any wool?, the recipe step states, “put the “black wool” cocoa powder, oil, honey, and vanilla extract into a small mixing bowl and stir until combine. Set the bowl aside”. After following all steps, it was time to place my granola mixture into the oven.

All that was left to do was to wait 20 minutes before it was ready to come out and cool. The end result…granola for my cereal, yogurt, or to mix with my bananas. It’s also the perfect snack on the go.

Cook Me a Rhyme Granola Recipe

Your kids would love it too. Cook Me a Rhyme not only offers brunch dishes, it also offers lunch recipes, treat recipes and sweet recipes. There is something for every child in this cookbook. And if your little one loves to bake, you should also invest in Cook Me a Story, which offers recipes for breakfast, snacking, lunch & dinner, desserts and drinks.

These cookbooks are MUST-HAVES for your child’s library. It’s the perfect book to pass down from generation to generation. It’s the perfect gift for ANY occasion. If you have a young one, you should have one of these cookbooks. Not only does it offer classic rhymes, it also offers a fun activity that you can do with your child. I guarantee you will love these books. So purchase them today at your local book store or from Amazon.

Thoughts about I See Me!

I absolutely love the products that I See Me! offers. I’ve used their website many times to purchase personalized books for my nephew, so I was super excited to have the opportunity to get to review not one, but two other titles. I chose to create a book for my nephew Chase and my best friend’s kids, Parker and Mackenzie. My best friend Lauren is an Elementary School teacher and I am a Librarian. We are always looking for new titles to add to our libraries. Books are the best gift because they will always last and as school teachers and librarians go, we strive to instill a love of reading into our children’s lives. So what better way to invest in your child’s future than with their very own personalized book?

I had the opportunity to give my nephew his ABC What Chase Can Be! and he absolutely LOVED it. As soon as he got the book he sat right down on the couch and flipped through the pages. I love how this book shows that kids can be whatever they want to be, and as a parent, teacher, librarian or relative that’s all we want.

Personalized Children's Books from I SEE ME
