Little Banty Chicken Book

My Thoughts: Every week I get together with my 6 1/2 year old grand daughter and 5 1/2 month old grandson for “reading time” which we all enjoy. Last week we got a new book in for review called “Little Banty Chicken and The Big Dream” by author Lynea Gillen and my grand daughter loved it! The story line is well-written and is one that children in this age group can completely understand. The illustrations by artist Kristina Swarner are absolutely gorgeous!

We review a lot of children’s books on this blog and I have to admit, I really like this one because it’s different than the rest. It’s a really fun read and my 6 1/2 year old grand daughter has no problems reading it to us or to her baby brother. It’s creative, fun and extremely well-written.

Bathtime with Theo and Beau Children’s Book

Bathtime with Theo and Beau Children’s Book

Bathtime with Theo & BeauI’m the proud grandmother to a 6 1/2 year old little girl and a 5 month old little boy. As a grandmother, I’m very involved in my grandchildren’s lives and I spend quite a bit of time with them.

One of the things I love to do on a weekly basis with them is to sit down and have reading time. Even my 5 month old grandson enjoys sitting in his little infant chair and watches intently as I read to the two of them. I treasure this time with the kids!

Recently I got a new children’s book in for review and I’m excited to tell you about it today. It’s available for purchase starting on January 19th, 2016.

Title: Bathtime with Theo & Beau
Author: Jessica Shyba
ISBN: 978-1-250-05907-9
Ages: Children ages 2-5 years

Author Jessica Shyba is the woman behind the highly successful first book titled Naptime with Theo & Beau, a picture book that features beautiful photos of her son Beau with his adorable best friend Theo (the puppy). The two became an internet sensation after the first book’s release and now Jessica is back with book #2.

Bathtime with Theo & Beau features beautiful photos of Theo and Beau playing & getting dirty together. The main highlight of the book is when Theo & Beau get into the bathtub together to get clean and for more playtime fun!

The photos in the book really capture the special bond that the little boy and puppy have together. Along with the gorgeous photos, there is some simple text to help guide the little story along. The book’s dust jacket doubles as a free full-color poster that your child can hang in his/her room.

Purchasing Info: The book is available at Overstock, Walmart, Powells, Booksamillion, IndieBound, Barnes & Noble and you can purchase Bathtime with Theo and Beau on Amazon too!
