My Review: I received the book a couple of days ago and was really excited when it arrived. I am a grandmother to a 2 year old little grand daughter, god mother to an 8 year old godson, auntie to numerous nieces and nephews…so it seems like kids are always around me and my husband. I read the book cover to cover in just one day! It’s an easy read and I love that each activity has it’s own page in the book. When you read over the activity it will let you know what supplies you will need to complete the activity and it breaks the activities down into categories like: On The Road, In The Kitchen, Out & About, At Home, Any Time/Any Place, etc. Here is one of my favorite activities from the book:
Macaroni Math – When you need to cook some pasta for lunch or dinner hand your child a bowl with the dry pasta and have your child count them out and place them into the bowl and then you can use them for cooking. It’s a great activity to keep them busy, helps teach them math skills, kitchen skills and is a free one on one activity that you can do with them!
There are Arts & Crafts, Fantasy Play, Games, Kitchen Activities, Physical Activities, Educational Activities and so much more! This is really a fabulous book! With it being summertime and the kids being home from school…this book will give every parent a few ideas on how you can keep them entertained this summer and spend some good quality one on one time with them! We love this book and I look forward to trying out several of these suggested activities with the kids in our family.
