Falling for Jillian by Kristen Proby Book Review

Feel good stories with happy endings are the main reason I started enjoying chick lit and romance books a lifetime ago. I read a lot and I mean a lot – on average between 3 and 6 books a week. With that amount of reading

The Three Fates of Ryan Love by Erin Quinn

When I think about reading books about the paranormal, it tends to freak me out a bit. I never was one to go looking for the topics about the unknown or the “other side”. But after getting sucked into this book by Erin Quinn, I

New York Times Bestselling Author Empowers Readers to Be Inspired, Strong, and Happy

In the follow-up to his New York Times bestselling debut, In the Garden of Thoughts, inspirational author Dodinsky aims to uplift readers’ hearts and souls with his second book, In the Garden of Happiness.

As an emerging leader in positive thinking, Dodinsky weaves words of contentment and self-empowerment in In The Garden of Happiness, and gives readers the wisdom and support to find power within themselves to lead a happy life.

“When life is tough and seems overwhelming, it is my ardent hope the simple reminders in this book will help center your thoughts and lift up your spirit,” Dodinsky said.

When Dodinsky started posting his thoughts online as a way of coping with the blows life had dealt him, little did he know he was also building a sanctuary for weathered travelers across the globe seeking upliftment and inner-strength sustenance.

Dodinsky was deeply humbled when he realized that his ruminations on life became a gift to readers. Appreciative emails from people from all walks of life flooded in, saying he inspired them to look deeper within themselves for the answers to their own happiness and self-worth.

Dodinsky’s Facebook page has become a community where nearly 275,000 people share their own stories.

My Thoughts: This charming book is a delight in many ways. It is not big on words but the words pack a powerful kick. Each page is accompanied lovely artwork that enhances the meaning of the message. This is a wonderful gift not only for yourself on a daily basis, but may be perfect for a teen that is struggling or a friend going through a tough time.

I have been studying one page a day and while the message may seem easy at first, trying to follow and changing as needed is what becomes the challenge. These beautiful messages speak of a joyful life, full of happiness and love. That is something that we have to choose to become and offer to others. This book can help bring you that feeling of hope and joy. I love that.

Simplicity is sometimes hard to find but this book is simplicity in action.

After We Fell by Anna Todd Book Review

I have to give props to an author that has not only has the ability to write a long series of books, but also keep the attention of the reader through out. I do not think that is something I could do. So with the third installment of the AFTER series, I am still just as hooked as in book one.

Synopsis: Book Three of the After series—now newly revised and expanded, Anna Todd’s After fanfiction racked up 1 billion reads online and captivated readers across the globe. Experience the Internet’s most talked-about book for yourself!

Tessa and Hardin’s love was complicated before. Now it’s more confusing than ever. AFTER WE FELL…Life will never be the same. #HESSA

Just as Tessa makes the biggest decision of her life, everything changes. Revelations about first her family, and then Hardin’s, throw everything they knew before in doubt and makes their hard-won future together more difficult to claim.

Tessa’s life begins to come unglued. Nothing is what she thought it was. Not her friends. Not her family. The one person she should be able to rely on, Hardin, is furious when he discovers the massive secret she’s been keeping. And rather than being understanding, he turns to sabotage.

Tessa knows Hardin loves her and will do anything to protect her, but there’s a difference between loving someone and being able to have them in your life. This cycle of jealousy, unpredictable anger, and forgiveness is exhausting. She’s never felt so intensely for anyone, so exhilarated by someone’s kiss—but is the irrepressible heat between her and Hardin worth all the drama? Love used to be enough to hold them together. But if Tessa follows her heart now, will it be…the end?

My Thoughts: I don’t know how this author can continue to write massive novels that engage and keep the readers interest page after page. As in the first two story’s – After and After We Collided, the main characters are still working through their issues and bouncing between arguing and figuring out how to adjust to being with each other. Trust is hard to come by, but they are trying.

While the issues of the second book – the constant back and forth arguing, was tiring and frustrating to the reader, this installment is showing them trying to find a happy medium. Thank goodness. I did not find myself as annoyed and anxious to get this story resolved

This storyline is very similar to the last book and while I think that it could have been blended into each other, I was one that kept reading in hopes that something positive was coming out of this book. The author is very talented in crafting her words so they are like a drug. One more try, one more chance… becomes One more page, One more book. LOL I think we all try to look for the best in people and this story shows that, as millions of readers keep on reading.

Kudos to the author for an impressive storytelling gift. Now we have to wait several months for the final installment of come out and see if these kids can pull it together.
