What Happens Under the Mistletoe by Sabrina Jeffries
Publisher: Pocket Books (October 27, 2015)
ISBN-13: 978-1476786087

New York Times bestselling authors Sabrina Jeffries, Karen Hawkins, and Candace Camp, and USA TODAY bestselling author Meredith Duran come together for a sizzling historical romance holiday anthology.

Stunned by the heat of an unexpected kiss on a cold winter’s eve, two strangers from vastly different worlds turn hotheaded principles into burning passion in Sabrina Jeffries’s delightful yuletide story, The Heiress and the Hothead.

In the snowy Scottish countryside, Karen Hawkins’s rakish duke has an unforgettable holiday encounter in Twelve Kisses when the alluring lady he surprises under the mistletoe is not who he expected, but a long-lost love with a score to settle.

In By Any Other Name, Edinburgh is aglitter for Christmastime as Candace Camp sends a curious gentleman in hot pursuit of an intriguing lady in disguise—one who refuses to reveal her true identity, though she fears he has already stolen her heart with his kiss.

In Sweet Ruin, will the festive spirit of the season sweep Meredith Duran’s feisty heroine beneath the mistletoe—and back into the arms of the dashing rogue whose carelessness soiled her reputation and sent her into exile in London?

In this all-new story collection sparkling with sexy charm and heartwarming wit, four beloved bestselling authors reveal the mix-ups and make-ups, the missed chances and golden opportunities that come but once a year.

True Divide by Liora Blake Book Review

I love when a series of books can be read as stand alone books too. This new release is a perfect example of that. From author Liora Blake comes the third book in the TRUE series. The first being TRUE NORTH and the second is True Devotion.

True Divide by Liora Blake – The True Series Book 3

Spitfire Lacey Mosely feels stuck in a life she didn’t necessarily want. But will she find a happy ending with the man who broke her heart? Liora Blake concludes her witty and poignant True series with this spirited romance.

What do you do when the one boy you were never quite able to forget lands on your doorstep?

Lacey Mosely feels stuck: in her rural town of Crowell, Montana, at her job as manager of The Beauty Barn, and in her lackluster love life. Enter Jake Holt, one-time misfit and Lacey’s secret high school love. Ten years later, Jake is a private pilot whose travels take him all over the world, and once he shows up in Lacey’s life again—at the most unexpected time—he can’t seem to stay away. Now it’s up to Lacey to decide if she’s ready to let go of the past…and take a leap of faith for love.

My ThoughtsThis book is a fun conclusion to the TRUE series. Lacey is Kate’s sister who we met in True North and this is her story. While you do have some interaction with Kate and her husband, it does not involve too much so that you are not lost in any way. Lacey, we also met before in the other books but only briefly.

The author does a great job making this a fun read. Jake is super cute with a fun personality and the two of them together make a great couple. They both seemed to be mis-fits in the world. Lacey’s sister has a super successful career and married a mega star but Lacey just runs a beauty store in a tiny town and doesn’t have much ambition. Jake is her high school boy friend of sorts but he took off without a good bye. Now they are struggling to find their way back together again.

This is a quick read and one that is just right for lazy afternoon. It is enjoyable without a lot of drama and the perfect conclusion to the series. It is a sweet, romantic, funny, and sometimes steamy story that the author brings to the table. Perfect for the days you need to escape reality and climb into a book!
