Living in the west where the sun is very strong and shines most of the time, you find out pretty quickly that sunscreens are a valuable item, no matter your age. I am not fond of any sunscreen with chemicals in it and I will not wear them. Therefore, I was so excited to be able to try a line from a California based company that knows what good sunscreen is all about. COOLA Suncare is their name and organic sunscreen and sunblock is their business.

COOLA Suncare has been making headlines lately with their sunblock and sunscreen products. Their line contains only certified organic extracts, antioxidants and vitamins that boost to your skin’s natural immune system. It is so good, COOLA has coined and trademarked the term “Farm to Face”. I love this! I was really anxious to give it a try.

I was sent 2 different products to sample and review for you. The first is a matte face tint mineral sunscreen and the other is a tinted moisturizing face mineral sunscreen. When I first visited the site, I wondered why they offered so many different varieties of similar products and then I tried them. I will let you know the answer as we go.

I had to go for the Mineral Sunscreen with Moisturizer and a Rose Essence first since I love the scent of rose. It reminds me of my grandmother. This is a broad spectrum SPF 20 and it is made for the face. The product is in a tube with a pump on the end. I have never seen that before. When I pumped it out, I saw that the moisturizer was tinted and my heart started to beat a bit faster! Tinted moisturizers are a secret love of mine and a fabulous shortcut to a nice look on warm days.

When I applied the product to my face, it had a pretty tint color to it that blended in nicely and covered slightly. This is a sheer coverage that balanced out uneven skin tones on my face and it contains anti-aging properties, which is right up my alley. There is no Zinc in this but there is Titanuim Dioxide to help protect your skin. They also use beautiful oils loaded with antioxidants, Omegas and vitamins to help the skin with issues like redness and elasticity. Applying this product was a breeze! It just went on so easily! Thick creams, which can be typical of many sunscreens, are hard to blend in. Not so with this. My skin looked moist and refreshed. I loved the light tint and knew this will be on my must have list!

The second item I sampled is the Mineral Sunscreen Matte Tint Broad Spectrum SPF 30. This also comes in the same type of container and it is very slightly tinted. I was a bit concerned with the tint, but this blended in with my skin no problem. You could not even see it and it looked wonderful. This contains both Zinc and Titanuim Dioxide for the suncreen.

I am really stunned by the finish of this product. At first I thought a matte product would not be good for older skin, but this product contains oils that provide a smooth finish. Immediately, I could feel and see the difference in my skin! I kept feeling my cheek all evening long because my skin felt so soft! I like that there was no shine or glow like with the moisturizer suncreen, which is a plus for me. This is a wonderful primer for your foundation. Your skin will have a fabulous finish. This is the bomb!

The COOLA Suncare line of Organic Sunscreen is awesome. It is a higher priced product, but for me, if it takes care of issues I am having with my facial skin, I am all in. I love the fact that these are made with minerals and oils and all of the good things our skin needs. The scent is so mild and beautiful and this has none of the typical suncreen smells at all!

With Spring right around the corner that means brighter and warmer sunshine and I am thrilled that I am all ready for it, if there is any product left by then. I am using these regardless of the sunshine because they feel so amazing on my skin and I know they will do great things for it too.
