It measures a whopping 17″ by 17″ in size. You get plenty of coverage with it. I’m a medium-sized woman and it works perfectly for me. My husband (yes, he enjoys bubble baths) is twice my size and it works perfectly for his body too! We do a lot of traveling and I really appreciate that they included a storage bag, so I can take my bath pillow along with me. As an added bonus, you also get a mesh laundry bag along with it, so you can wash it in your washing machine! How cool is that? Totally cool.

I will never get tired of trying new bath products. I love the tranquility of a nice, hot bath with some wonderful soaps and bath salts. Like many of you, anxiety is a regularly scheduled program in my life. With a stressful job, a kid that has mountains of homework and just being an overall worrywart, I often need to decompress and get out of my head. Bath time is my sanctuary.

I was recently sent a few samples of soap and bath salts from Chagrin Valley Soap & Salve, which is a small family owned and family operated company dedicated to crafting high quality, healthy and effective skin and hair care products that will nourish your skin, while being kind to our planet. All of the company’s recipes are invented, created and manufactured in their facility in Solon, Ohio.

I received two products to try out from the company’s line and I’m excited to tell you about them today. I have been enjoying Chagrin Valley Soap & Salve’s newest seasonal soap– Pumpkin and Spice–which is brand new to the line. I also tried out the Sore Muscle Energize Bath Salts. The ingredients in these products (as well as the rest of the line) are USDA certified organic, sustainably produced, cruelty-free and ethically traded.

First, I’ll give you my thoughts on the Pumpkin and Spice Soap. As I mentioned above, this is a new product that is part of the seasonal soap line. In addition to the soap, there is also a Pumpkin Spice Sugar Scrub and a Pumpkin Spice Lip Balm. I am a pumpkin addict and I love the fall and all of its pumpkin gloriousness. If you love pumpkin, this soap will be your new obsession. It has the scent of a freshly baked pumpkin pie and is made with organic pumpkin seed oil, real pumpkin and spices. No fake pumpkin fragrance is found here. It feels lovely and creamy on your skin and pumpkin is packed with vitamin A and beta-carotene as well as natural enzymes, which helps to soften dry skin and exfoliate naturally. The soap is also a relatively large size (5.8 ounces), which I’m hoping will last and last!

The second product I tried out was the Sore Muscle Energize Bath Salt. This jar of wonderful smelling salts will make you feel energized, yet calm with their therapeutic effect. I just got back from a conference in New York, where I was on my feet and stressed out for two days straight. These bath salts not only put me in a state of calm, but they also helped to relieve my mind and body fatigue, and soothed my sore muscles and joints. The salts are also ideal for allergy sufferers or helping to moisturize your skin from dry air. Mineral rich salts and aromatherapy enhance the natural healing and soothing effects of a warm bath. Some of the key ingredients in the Sore Muscle Energize Bath Salt are pink Himalayan salt, organic essential oils of juniper berry, spearmint, lime and ginger to name a few.
