Next, I love, love and I mean LOVE the thickness of these wipes! With other brands I would put my fingers and/or fingernails right through their thin wipes…which means my hands would get messy. Shopping for fun and unique baby shower gifts can be a time consuming process unless you know where to shop. As a new mother myself with a ton of friends having babies right now, I shop on the internet to find the latest and greatest baby products.
If you’ve ever attended a shower, you already know that the new parents get a slew of new clothing as gifts. However, we recommend that you think outside the box and pick up a few non-clothing baby gifts too!
7 Non-Clothing Baby Shower Gifts for a New Mom
Diaper Cake – is one of the hottest gifts to give! A two to three tiered cake is constructed out of diapers and then embellished with little toys, baby care products, stuffed animals, etc. The new mom will take apart the diaper cake and use all of the pieces once her new little bundle of joy arrives. You can find diaper and nappy cakes made with disposable or cloth diapers.
Baby Blankets – you can never have enough blankets! When shopping for a special one that will be treasured forever, consider having the blanket personalized with the baby’s name or embroidered with a unique saying. It’s important to make sure that the new parents have a variety of blankets in different sizes, colors, designs and weights. Looking to add to this idea? How about picking up a quilt rack or blanket storage bin for the new mom!
Laundry Hamper – an often over-looked, but very useful gift is a new clothing hamper that can be used just for the child’s items. To make the gift extra-special, fill up the hamper with items that the new parents will need.
Keepsake Box – all parents love to hold onto special little treasures after the birth of their baby and a Keepsake Box is a great way to store all of those little treasures. If you know the name of the child, you can have it personalized for a truly unique gift.

Car Organizers – we all drag around a lot of stuff in our cars and new parents always have more stuff than they can handle. You can find organizers that attach to the back of car’s seat, organizers that sit on the floor or look for organizing options for the trunk.
Take your time and come up with some unique and creative baby gift ideas that you know the new parents will use. Baby’s outgrow clothing really quickly and a non-clothing gift is often over-looked and always appreciated.
