Seventh Generation “Touch of Cloth” Unbleached Cotton Diapers

This post brought to you by Seventh Generation. The content and opinions expressed below are that of Two Classy Chics.

Seventh Generation "Touch of Cloth" Unbleached Cotton DiapersWhen my grand daughter was born back in 2009 we exclusively used cloth diapers for the first year of her life. When she turned one and went into daycare, we had to use disposable diapers on her while there and cloth diapers on her at home. It was a real pain in the butt but we got through it.

Now that my daughter is expecting baby #2 we are again looking into diapers and more specifically the “Touch of Cloth” Unbleached Cotton Diapers from Seventh Generation. Have any of you ever head of them? Ever used them?

We really want to use cotton diapers this time around and want them to be absorbent, easy to use and feel great against the new baby’s skin. We have 6 months to do our research and to learn more about our options but for now…this is the one we are considering because we are an eco-friendly family.

Seventh Generation "Touch of Cloth" Unbleached Cotton Diapers

Oh, I have a fact to share with all of you about disposable diapers. For instance, did you know that it can take up to 300 years for a traditional diaper to decompose? Frankly, I think that should be printed in BIG BOLD letters on every disposable diaper package that is sold. Consumers need to wake up about that and either quit using them or decrease their use/dependence on them. On top of that, disposable diapers are completely out of control in regards to cost!!! Oh my…every year they are even more expensive than before.

While doing my research online I found 2 very informative and nice videos on the “Touch of Cloth” Unbleached Cotton Diapers that I wanted to share with you. Each video is less than 2 minutes in duration. They are great for learning more about the product and about Seventh Generation which also sells additional products for babies and your home.

So, now that you watched the videos, what did you think? Personally, I think they will be a great choice for baby #2 which is due in about 6 months. As a grandmother, I want only the best things and products for our new grandchild.

Now that I left the “cat” out of the bag about Baby #2…I would like to hear your thoughts on these particular diapers or any other products that you use from Seventh Generation. Thanks!

HALO SleepSack Wearable Blankets

HALO SleepSack Wearable Blankets

HALO SleepSack Wearable BlanketsHALO Innovations is dedicated to putting the health, safety and well-being of babies first. In fact, over 1,200 hospitals use the HALO® SleepSack® wearable blankets through the HALO Safer Way to Sleep Initiative. This summer they launched their new bassinet, the HALO™ Bassinest™ Swivel Sleeper, furthering their commitment to helping babies sleep safely.

We received a HALO Sleepsack Wearable Blanket to review for all of you. The one we received is made out of 100% cotton muslin in a size 6 to 12 months. The giraffe plaid print is absolutely adorable!

HALO SleepSack Wearable Blankets

The arm and neck openings are sized for a safer fit and there is an inverted zipper that runs up the front which allows for easy diaper changing. It is sleeveless so you wear the wearable blanket over your child’s normal pajamas.

There is a little embroidered patch on the front chest that says “Back is Best” which constantly reminds caregivers to place the baby on his back to sleep. That is very important and I am always surprised at how many caregivers that don’t do it!

HALO SleepSack Wearable Blankets

One of the things that I love about the 100% cotton muslin fabric is that it is breathable and this wearable blanket can be used for 3 seasons out of the year unless you live in a very cold climate…then you would want to try out their super soft & warm micro-fleece sleepsack.

Since my daughter is expecting baby #2 in early Spring, this will be perfect for Spring, Summer and Fall next year. In the meantime, we have been trying it out on her nephew who is 5 months old. He is adorable!
