My Thoughts:
My nephew is obsessed with big machines, especially construction-type machines. I thought Big Tractors with Casey & Friends would be the perfect introduction into farm life. The recommended ages for “Casey & Friends” titles are 4-8, so I was a little hesitant to share this title with my 3 year old nephew. I was pleasantly surprised to see how interested he was in the story. I was able to keep him engaged throughout the whole entire book, which left my nephew with a million questions about all of the machines introduced. My sister called me the next day to tell me that my nephew wouldn’t stop talking about the story all morning. He even asked my sister to read the book when he woke that day.
This title, and the other three titles, is perfect for introducing farm life into your child’s life. The pictures are very realistic, to show the child what the machines look like in real-life, and there is even a glossary at the end of the book to describe certain farm terms mentioned throughout the story. There are also tons of educational sidebars that the parent can share with their child.
As a children’s librarian, I have a lot of preschool and daycare teachers that come into the library looking for books about the farm and farm-life. “Casey & Friends” will be a great suggestion for these teachers on top of all of the other great farm books. So if you have an avid reader, or a ready who loves the farm, don’t miss out with “Casey & Friends” book.

I am not a fan of candles, but I absolutely LOVE One Fur All’s Pet House Candles. They smell amazing. To be honest, I would buy this candle even if I didn’t have pets in my household. My boyfriend and I have 3 cats. When you walk into our house, the smell of litter boxes can be overwhelming. Since burning this candles in our house, you no longer smell the scent of litter boxes. You wouldn’t even know we had cats unless you saw them, and they aren’t hard to miss! I love how strong of a scent these candles are. We burn our candle in the spare room where one of our litter boxes is located. Not only does the candle make our area with the litter box smell great, but it also makes our entire house smell clean and fresh. When you are finished burning the candle completely, just clean out the jar and use it for storage. They look great in bathrooms!
These candles are only available for purchase online (there are only 2 stores located in Pennsylvania). Although the price of these candles are a bit steep, $19.95 per candle with a flat rate shipping of $6.99, they are worth the purchase, especially if you have furry friends that live with you. You will not be disappointed in this product!
