Well, we’re about 7 weeks away from the start of the Spring season. Personally, it can’t get here soon enough. Winter is dragging out and I’m tired of it. I seriously need to consider moving south to a location with better weather. As I age, I find that the cold winter season really gets to me and not in a good way. I’ve got cabin fever, so I’m starting a few indoor Spring Cleaning projects early. How do you occupy your time when cooped up indoors during the winter season?

Pan-Fried Crab Cakes Recipe

Pan-Fried Crab Cakes Recipe

We enjoy seafood in our home a few times a month. We like steamed crabs, shrimp (steamed or tossed into a stir-fry) and my dad’s homemade crab cakes. His recipe is easy-to-make and taste delicious! They’re fried on the stove-top or you can grill them.

Germs and sickness. It seems to be everywhere at this time of the year. In the past month I have seen numerous friends & family members come down with Covid, the flu, various coughs and colds, ear infections and everything else. This time of the year is dreadful due to being cooped up indoors and everyone spreading germs. I really wish that PEOPLE would stay the HECK HOME when they’re sick. But nope…they go to the store, shopping, to a restaurant, to work, send kids to school and everything else when sick…spreading more germs!

I’m a full-time working mom. When my kids are sick…they’re at home. They’re not at school, athletic events, scouts, out shopping or anything else…but HOME. When me or my husband are sick…we stay home and YES we’re both full-time employed responsible adults. We take off work as necessary. If others would keep their butts at home when sick, we would have less germs flying around infecting others. Just saying.
