Lardera Cold-Brew Pitchers Make Delicious Iced Coffees

Lardera Cold-Brew Coffee PitcherIn the northeast the temperatures have been hot with high humidty for the past several weeks. As soon as you walk outside your sweating and at times its uncomfortable to even breathe. Summer is definitely here and it’s here to stay for awhile.

To help keep cool throughout the summer months I enjoy drinking iced coffees. I like to make them at home so that I can control ingredients, the process, and save money. You can make your own at home too with the Lardera Cold-Brew Pitcher and enjoy iced coffees all year long.

Lardera Cold-Brew Coffee Pitcher

Lardera Coffee is a division within Adagia Teas, so the company can fulfill both your gourmet coffee and tea needs. Lardera works one-on-one with 5 small coffee farms to obtain the best coffee beans. You can learn more about the farmers and the farming regions that the coffee beans come from by visiting the company’s website and clicking on Farmers & Regions.

For this review I received the Cold-Brew Pitcher and 2 Sample Bags of Coffee. We’ve reviewed their coffee before and you can read the previous review HERE. I personally love their coffee because it’s freshly roasted and has a great taste. You can buy it in a variety of different flavors…whole bean or ground.

The Cold-Brew Pitcher is made out of borosilicate glass and is heat resistant, dishwasher safe for easy cleaning. Inside the pitcher is a removable stainless steel filter. You can cold-brew up for 44 oz. of coffee. I recommend doing the entire 44 oz. when you make it because once made it’s good for up to 3 days in your refrigerator. It’s 10 1/4″ tall by 4″ in diameter, so it won’t take up a lot of space sitting in the refrigerator.

Lardera Iced Coffee

I’m new to cold-brewing coffee so I had to look on the company’s website to learn how to do it. They have step-by-step instructions with photographs on how to do a cold-brew using the pitcher. You can learn more HERE. I was surprised at how easy it is to make my own cold-brew iced coffees at home. You can do it too!!!

If you’re a coffee drinker (hot or cold) you need to check out the fresh roasted coffees from Lardera. If you’re new to their coffees, purchase a few sampler packs to find the best variety and roast for you. I’ve tried several of them now and have enjoyed them all. None have a bitter after-taste and all have tasted fresh unlike the junk you buy at the grocery store that has sat on store shelves for several months. I really don’t think you could get fresher!

You can buy Lardera Coffee and accessories by visiting their website. You can connect with the company on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

When the summer heats up, coffee lovers crave something a little less steamy and a little more refreshing. Iced coffee fits the bill perfectly. For some, that means driving to the nearest chain, dropping a bundle, and leaving quality to chance. You can save time

Roasted Brussel Sprouts Recipe

Roasted Brussel Sprouts Recipe

Brussel Sprouts are one of my favorite vegetables to eat. Yeah, I know I’m crazy since a lot of people that I know can’t stand them. With that said, I’m picky about how they’re prepared. I like them fresh from the garden or farmer’s market. I’ll eat frozen ones when I have to, but there’s something delicious about using FRESH.

Sometimes I’ll sprinkle cheese ontop as soon as they come out of the oven for that cheesy taste. If you’re a bacon lover…toss on some bacon bits too!

Roasted Brussel Sprouts Recipe

Roasted Brussels Sprouts Recipe

1 1/2 lbs. fresh Brussels Sprouts
2 Tbsp. Extra-Virgin Olive Oil
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. Ground Black Pepper

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Wash and clean the brussels sprouts. Use a knife to slice each one into half. If any of the leaves fall off, you can toss them into the baking dish too.

In a large mix bowl, combine together the prepared brussels sprouts with the extra-virgin olive oil, salt and ground black pepper. I just use a spoon to gently toss all of them together.

Pour the brussels sprouts into the baking dish. Use a spoon to even everything out. Place in a preheated 375 degrees F oven and bake until they’re fork tender. The baking time really varies according to the size of the Brussel Sprouts that you’re using. Typically takes anywhere from 10-14 minutes. Once they’re fork tender, remove and let sit in the baking dish for 5 minutes before serving.
