Twice now, I’ve had the pleasure of reviewing tasty snacks from Wonderfully Raw Gourmet Delights, Coco-Roons and Brussel Bytes. New for 2017, the company has rebranded itself as Sejoyia Foods and has introduced two new Coco-Roons flavors, Chocolate Chip and Salted Caramel.
According to the company’s founder, Sequoia Cheney, “Sejoyia” means “see joy in all.” The name “Sejoyia” is derived from a combination of her first name and the word “joy,” and it reflects her “mission to make food that brings joy to body, mind and spirit.”
The two new Coco-Roons flavors I received certainly brought me some joy! They taste great, and the chewy texture is really satisfying. The dominant flavor in both varieties is coconut, with a nice chocolaty note in the Chocolate Chip and a well-rounded salty-sweetness in the Salted Caramel. Please don’t ask me to choose a favorite, because I love them both. Honestly, I think Coco-Roons are delicious little bites of wholesome goodness. I also like the fact that they’re substantial enough so that a little goes a long way, and one or two cookies satisfies my sweet tooth without tempting me to overindulge.
Coco-Roons come in several other flavors, including Strawberry, Vanilla Maple, Cacao Nib, Brownie, Lemon Pie, and Orange Dreamsicle. The handy resealable packages are available in three sizes: The Family Size is 6.2 ounces ($7.99), the Personal Size is 3 ounces ($4.49), and Mini Coco-Roons come in a 2-ounce Snack Size ($2.99). These yummy bite-size cookies are made from just a few carefully chosen, minimally processed ingredients that pack a big flavor punch while retaining their high nutrient levels. They’re Certified Organic, Non-GMO, gluten free, vegan, kosher, and paleo, so you can actually feel good about snacking.

My husband received two fun pairs of Balitello socks to review, one mid-calf pair with colorful polka dots on a black background called “Spot On,” and a knee-high pair in the “Big Blue: NYC Skyline” design in the New York Giants football team colors. His initial impression was that the socks were extremely comfortable, and after a full day wearing them, he was even more pleased. In particular, he found the padded heels and toes added much more cushioning than he expected. And they didn’t fall down! Here’s a direct quote: “They’re comfy. They really are.”
After he wore the socks, I checked the packaging materials and the Balitello website for laundering instructions, but found none. I opened a chat session on their website to ask about it and was told that it’s okay to put them in the washer and dryer but that I should turn the socks inside-out first. Unfortunately, they shrank a bit after a standard wash-and-dry with like-colored items. Lesson learned. From now on, I’ll let them air dry.
