Pickle Everything Word Game is for ages 10 and up and for 3 to 5 players. The card deck includes a rules card which you’ll need to read before you get started. 

How to Play – The initial player draws a card and reads the clue to the rest of the players. A player can holler their answer at anytime but…the first word MUST start with P and the second word MUST be PICKLE! (example – Pinocchio Pickle).  

The Golden Rule – If you don’t add PICKLE to your answer it’s incorrect. No exceptions. The clue reader is the judge. They decide who responded first and correctly. The quickest thinker snags the card. The next player takes on the role of the reader. Winning a card doesn’t make you the reader, so play in a clockwise rotation. Once all of the cards are played the player with the most cards is the winner…the Professional Pickle! 

Here’s an example of 2 cards:

Reader – You banged your leg into the net post and your bruise is starting to turn a dark color. 
Correct Answer – Purple Pickle

Reader – Your one year old friend with 4 little legs comes to the court because he’s a …..
Correct Answer – Puppy Pickle

As you can see….the first word begins with the letter P and the last word is Pickle…so you could have other correct answers…those are just two examples. 

Flippin’ Pickles is a crazy pickle memory game for ages 7 and up, 2 to 4 players. It’s a crazy game where you flip hilarious pickle characters and test your memory. Match the most pickle pairs and you’ll be known as “The Biggest Dill”. Inside the deck of cards you’ll find the rules card, so read that before you get started. 

How to Play – The object of the game is to make matching pairs. To get started shuffle the deck of cards and have each player draw 3 cards. Place the remaining cards in the center between all of the players and this becomes the draw pile. Next to the draw pile will be the discard pile. Each player takes the 3 cards they drawn and looks at the side facing them. They then place each card face-down in front of them.

The Golden Rule – The player must remember the pickle character on each card they place face-down and cannot peek at the face-down side of that card again! While playing each player can have 1, 2 or 3 cards in front of them, but never more than 3. On your turn, you can make a match in any one of these two ways:

Pick the top card from the draw pile and match either side of the with one of your down cards. If it matches your card you turned over, you put both cards in a pile of your winning cards near you. If it doesn’t match, both of the cards go into the discard pile. Point to one of the face-up cards in front of another player and then turn over your card that you believe matches the card you pointed to. If it matches, you put BOTH cards in your winning cards pile. If it doesn’t match, you lose your card to the discard pile and the card you pointed to stays in front of that player. You can only make 1 match on your turn. When no more matches can be made the game is over. The winner is the player who has the most matched cards and is the “Big Dill”. 

Last week my daughter celebrated her Sweet 16 birthday. We had a house full of kids and teens for the entire weekend. To keep the kids busy we had 4 game tables set up with a wide variety of games for the kids to play. Kids were age 9 through 17 at the party…so we made sure we offered a variety of games for them to play.

Flippin’ Pickles and Pickle Everything were a huge hit at the party. These kids and teens weren’t into pickleball but they sure did LOVE playing these card games. As a parent, I appreciate that the games are pure…clean…fun! Each game took less than 30 minutes to play, so the kids could move from table to table playing different games. 

These card games don’t take up a lot of storage space in your game closet. They’re packable and light-weight so feel free to take them with you when you travel. Great games to have at home, at Grandma’s house, at School or when you travel. Everyone who played these games enjoyed them and had a great time!
