Christmas is less than 1 month away and if you haven’t started your holiday decorating, now is the time to get started. Every year we start ours right before or right after Thanksgiving and we decorate our home inside and out.
One of my very favorite stores to stop at for holiday home decor happens to be Kohl’s. When I shop at Kohl’s I can find what I am looking for and then some! I love shopping during their Cash Dollars promotions and I earn even more cash back as a member of the Kohl’s Yes2You Rewards program. These savings really add up!
Over the past year I have been very honored to blog about my love for Kohl’s and have all of our readers learn about the great items I find when shopping there. Today, I am going to share with you all of the beautiful items I got for the holidays.
First let me say this. Kohl’s provided me with a $100 gift card to go shopping. My challenge was to select holiday home decor and I decided to do a coastal theme’d Christmas tree. Everything that I am going to feature in this blog post came to $141.00 (on sale) but original price would of been $385.00. I applied the $100 gift card and only paid $41.00 out-of-pocket. Just getting the disclosure stuff out of the way!
I decided to decorate a 5 foot artificial pre-lit tree in a coastal & beach theme this year. The tree is one I got last year. So, I headed to Kohl’s to look around to see what I could find.
In their clearance section I found a boat load of beautiful holiday ornaments all marked down on clearance! I am talking $2.00 up to $9.99 a piece/set! Oh my gosh, I was super excited that I had found beautiful coastal Christmas tree ornaments and beautiful ornament balls at these kind of bargain prices!
I selected a few of the beautiful resin/ceramic blue seahorse ornaments, a few of the green & turquoise glass seahorse ornaments, pink ceramic/resin seahorse ornaments, a hot pink puffer fish glass ornament, two large turquoise angel fish ornaments with sequins, blue turtle with jingle bells ornaments, ceramic sand dollar, starfish and seashell ornaments, several blue dolphin ornaments and more! I was really able to load up on some beautiful coastal & beach theme’d holiday ornaments and guess what? They all came to $71.00 and change! They are just as nice if not BETTER than the ornaments I have been paying $15.00+ for!
Then I found 3 packages of ornament balls for our Christmas tree in the color scheme that I am working in. I am trying to stay mostly with royal blue, turquoise and silver holiday balls. I love the large size of these balls and I appreciate that they are made out of a super light-weight plastic so they don’t pull down on my tree branches. I got 8 balls in each package for less than $5.00 a package! While they were inexpensive, they certainly don’t look cheap! So now I have spent $86.00.
To finish up my shopping experience I decided to check out the yard inflatables that Kohl’s had to offer. I have been wanting a new inflatable but didn’t want to spend $100+ to get one. I found a beautiful snowman family inflatable that was on clearance for less than $39.00 and snagged them up quickly. They are just too cute!!!
When I got home from my shopping trip and showed my husband everything that I have purchased for less than $150.00 he just couldn’t believe it! All of the ornaments you see in the first picture hanging on that tree I got from Kohl’s during this shopping trip. That’s right, if you are just starting out…go to Kohl’s and you can totally decorate your holiday tree for less than $75.00 when you shop the clearance section!
This is what I call “POWER SHOPPING” because I got everything on clearance and on top of all of the money that I saved…I am earning Kohl’s Cash and additional cash back as a Yes2You Rewards Member and I am going to apply all of that towards a new Christmas tree topper next week.
Head on out to your local Kohl’s store and take a look around or you can go shopping at Kohls. They have beautiful holiday home decor for everyone…no matter what decorating style you may be going for. I was pleasantly surprised to find all of the coastal and beach items that they had to offer. I will take a photo of my completed tree this weekend. That one just shows the new ornaments that I got from Kohl’s. I have them all on my tree now (new and old) and it is pretty full.
