Today I have a fantastic children’s footwear company that I would like to introduce you to called Umi Children’s Shoes based out of the great state of Wisconsin. This wonderful kid’s footwear company takes great pride in manufacturing high quality shoes for both boys and girls and not only are these shoes high quality…but they are super stylish too! Every shoe that Umi makes is carefully tested to ensure that it meets high safety and durability standards, and they have to meet the strict guidelines for child-safe materials. In addition, Umi only uses non-toxic, drum-dyed leathers and other environmentally safe materials. At Umi, their focus is on quality, comfort and style when it comes to the footwear they manufacture for our little one’s feet!
When you visit the Umi online web store you will find that it’s super easy to navigate. You can shop the girl’s department or the boy’s department and each department is broken down into 3 different size ranges so that you can easily find the size that you need. All of Umi’s shoes are handcrafted and have a generous fit so please use their sizing chart on their web site to get the proper size that you need. (American Shoppers).
My Review: The generous folks over at Umi Children’s Shoes sent me 2 pairs of their shoes for my product review. I have a 22 month old little grand daughter who I am helping to support so I was really excited about doing their review. I received the Pendant Style Shoe (#290545) in purple and the Chickadee Style Shoe (#290346) in pink. In the Pendant Style…I love the metallic purple finish on these shoes! They are super stylish and I love the velcro strap closure so they are easy to get on and off of her. I love that they are styled like a mary jane but have a super comfy sneaker style sole on them that has great tread to help prevent slipping. The collar of the shoe that goes around the ankle is generously padded for comfort. I love the wide toe box area on the shoe so that her little toes don’t get squished. This pair of shoes sells for $58.00 and is worth every dime!!!
The second pair of shoes we received from Umi is the pink Chickadee style shoes. These shoes are made of buttery soft leather just like the Pendant style and they have a easy on/off velcro strap which I really appreciate as laces just come undone all of the time on her shoes. I much prefer velcro straps at her age. This pair is just as beautiful as the first pair and just as comfy. I love how the sole comes up a little bit around the toe area to help prevent toe scuffing. This pair of shoes sells for $56.00 and is worth every dime too!
Overall Impression: We have never tried Umi Children’s Shoes until now and I will admit, I am very impressed with their quality, fit and style of their children’s footwear. These are high quality shoes, super comfy, extremely well-made and stylish! Any kid would be proud to wear a pair of Umi Children’s Shoes! I know when little one needs shoes I will be shopping at Umi!
