Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. The weather starts to cool and all of the great harvest items come out that create beautiful decorations. I was so excited to receive a gorgeous Garden Trug to add to my fall decorations and when you see it, you will know why.
Kaufmann Mercantile Handmade Garden Trug is a classic English gardening vessel. I am sure it looks familiar to you but you may not have known what it was officially called. This basket is perfect for carrying all of your garden favorites. Whether your picking apples from the tree or spending an afternoon at the pumpkin patch, this trug allows you to easily handle all of your seasonal produce. Plus it is marvelous for using as a centerpiece when not used in the garden holding your prized produce or flower cuttings.
I was sent a gorgeous trug called The Sussex. It features a darker handle and a dark wood band around the top. When I first opened the box, I was impressed at the generous size. These trugs are all handmade by a company in England that has been crafting them the same way since 1829. They are beautifully handmade using rot-resistant Sweet Chestnut and Cricket Bat Willow wood and finished with lovely copper tacks and nails. These are the original trugs that are rich in history and imported direct from England. This is just gorgeous.
While there are many uses for a garden trug as stated above, I decided to start getting ready for the fall season. Gourds and pumpkins are not in the stores yet, so I rummaged around my decor stash to find what I could to represent the fall season so you can see it in action! I didn’t do too well, but its nice. What I am excited about is that this trug is ample enough to hold a beautiful array of harvest items that I can use to create a cornucopia of sorts with it. I cannot wait to display it this season!
Kaufmann Mercantile is full of gorgeous items such as this trug. You can find amazing and beautifully crafted products for your Office, for Grooming & Beauty, Tools & Outdoors, Home, Kitchen, Grocery and Garden areas. I could shop for days! It is my new favorite site! Loaded with gorgeous things!
