The first thing I want to state is that I remember my grandmother cooking with cast iron cookware when I was a little girl. Cast iron was her preferred type of cookware! As soon as you take this jumbo cooker out of the box, you can tell it’s cast iron as it’s pretty weighty….but when you look at it, it doesn’t look ugly like cast iron of years past. It’s very attractive looking!

I read over all of the information that came with my jumbo cooker and then hand washed it, toweled dry. Later that evening I decided to try out my new jumbo cooker while making my famous homemade spaghetti sauce. I used it first to brown up my homemade meatballs and then rinsed it clean with water. I then defrosted my spaghetti sauce and tossed the sauce and meatballs into the jumbo cooker to simmer for an hour. I used another pan to boil my spaghetti noodles.

Every few minutes I checked on my simmering spaghetti sauce and I was pleasantly surprised to see no sticking and no scorching which normally occurs if I am not constantly stirring it. I love that lid because nothing splattered out while I was simmering my sauce. My meatballs browned up beautifully and I had no problems with sticking during that process either. I love that extra long handle because I have a gas stove and it keeps my hands away from the open flame. I love the shorter side handle which is great when I need to lift the jumbo cooker with both hands. The bottom of this cooker is fabulous and it fits perfectly onto the larger sized burners on my stovetop.

Once dinner was done, I headed into the kitchen to see how my new jumbo cooker would wash up. I placed it into the sink with a little bit of liquid dish soap and within 2 minutes flat, it was washed, rinsed and dried! Nothing stuck inside it and I didn’t have to do any type of scrubbing! Yeah!!!! Now that is what I call easy cleanup!

I couldn’t be happier with my new Jumbo Cooker that I received from Tabletops Unlimited, it is absolutely perfect! This piece of cookware normally sells for $100.00 but is currently on sale for only $39.99. This would make the PERFECT gift for that cook on your holiday list!

Looking for a new slow cooker? I have three of them and use them all of the time. The last two that I got…I purchased from Amazon and love them!
